Getting to the Finals every other year, winning the title 3 times in the past 8 years, and looking for another title this year is not "going away." That's called "staying here." Missing the title for one year is not a big enough lull.

Well, if winning the title 3 out of 8 years is "staying there" what would you call 90s Bulls, 80s Lakers, and 80s Celtics. Also, I said they went away for a year, which was a good enough break for me, "year" and "break" big keywords there. Anyone that thinks that the Spurs are just going to "go away" is out there mind, thats not gonna happen, let alone with a healthy Duncan and healthy supporting cast.

Obviously they are not going to "go away." And that's exactly why I hate them.

I would call those teams "handling the NBA in the palms of their hands."

What I mean by "staying here" is always lingering around ultimate success, and no matter how good you are, ultimate success is very hard to achieve, especially in this era of basketball. Back then, there was no competition. But now, there is plenty. To win a title now, basically everything has to go your way in terms of winning the close games, avoiding injuries, shooting well, etc. Obviously, the Spurs are too good of a team to simply fold now. Some team has to beat them at some point. But I feel that if they're beaten in the second round or the WCF for two or three years straight, the team will get frustrated and breakdown, similiar to what is happening to Detroit. All it takes is a couple of unsuccessful years, and the team very well may head in a different direction.

As good as they are, they are not invincible. They can be beaten, and every playoff run takes a bit of luck. For example, the Suns could have very well beaten the Spurs had suspensions not occured. So, all it takes is a couple of

bad years.

I'm thinking more and more that the Cavs have a good shot at the Spurs. I still believe the Spurs will win, but everyday I'm questioning that more and more. GO CAVS! (btw, this is probably a rare time when 90% or more of us agree on who we want to win).

CAVS all the way.

Game 1: Spurs
Game 2: Cavs
Game 3: Spurs
Game 4: Cavs
Game 5: Cavs
Game 6: Spurs
Game 7: Cavs

I believe this will go seven games, if not six.

This is what the Cavs are going to have to do to win this series, unfortunely for them this isn't Rugby, but fortunetly for them, they have Lebron James on there team, and if he did it, Duncan would probally get the foul called against him.

GO SPURS!!!!!!!!

😂

ouch durrant apparantly had terrible workout numbers at the combine. The big glarring thing was the fact that he couldnt do the bench press at all not even 1 rep (185 lbs.) Little PG mike connoly Jr. ripped it out 13 times. Oden is of course grading out as one of the top athletes there.

Believe it or not, Bynum couldn't do 135 when he first entered the league. That's crazy.

I can take them. flex

I dont see how bench pressing is that big of deal in basketball, I can see evaluating a player's strength in whatnot, but there is also alot more to evaluate than just strength, like being in shape cardio wise, that should be higher on the list than benchpressing when it comes to basketball.

Unlike the NFL, NBA scouts don't pay much attention to the combine anyway. If you read the whole article that talks about Durant vs Oden in the combine, it points out how inaccurate it all is when evaluating one's "athleticism". Although, it does bring a smile to my face since Blazers will be taking Oden anyway. 🙂

Btw, this should be an entertaining offseason (especially for me as a Blazer fan but the rest should be good too).

I second that. Also specifically for me as a Suns fan, we just got STEVE freakin' KERR as GM!

I am expecting him to make a few moves, add someone who can help them against defense like the Spurs'. ****ing Spurs. I hope their hair falls out.

Is how much you bench press really that important?

Meh, you can always add strength later.

Id still take him #2 was just posting it. For someone whos gonna be playing inside strength definitely matters though. Durrant is gonna get pushed around and beat up inside until he bulks up some. Thats one of the reasons people stay in college longer to develop their bodies not just their game.

That's what people said about Bosh.

All it takes is too bulk up a bit and boom, you got yourself a player.

Heck, if you bring in a centre to take that punishment, it should be a problem.
