I don't know. I think it would've went to Chris Paul.
Yeah, thats why I said "could have" rather than "would have". ESPN, Yahoo, and other sources listed Roy as the top performer for the West, but I do believe the fans would have voted for Paul and I would have been fine with that. But still, Roy could have potentially won it.
Me and my friends were talking about this, and don't you think that the west lost because of their coach's favoritism?
During the last 5 minutes, why not replace Chris Paul with Allen Iverson. Iverson is an excellent closer, and I believe Chris Paul missed the last 3 shot attempts made by the West. 3x2= 6, 6 points is exactly the amount the west lost by.
David West was rejected 3 times when right nex to the hoop. He decided not to pass , and continued, and it ended in a turnover. What the hell? Okey, whatever, you can keep this guy in, but in the end of the 4th quarter? Are you kidding me?
It seemed to me like the New Orlean coach just wanted more playtime for Chris Paul and David West.

David West played the least amount of minutes in the West (excluding Kobe) and I don't remember him playing too much in the 4th. Also, Chris Paul helped lead the West back from the deficit Iverson helped put them in. Iverson played worse than anybody on the West this year (an argument could be made for Duncan and Dirk, Dirk because of his anti-clutch). Even if you think he didn't do bad, I don't see how you could even argue that he was doing better than Paul.
Paul:
7 for 14 fg, 16 pts, 3 rebs, 14 asts, 2 turnovers, and team was +8 with him on the floor
Iverson:
3 for 7 fg, 7 pts, 2 rebs, 6 asts, 6 turnovers, and team was -14 with him on the floor.
I just looked it up and West did not play at all in the 4th quarter, so I really don't know what game you were watching.
Edit: Also, Paul didn't miss his last 3 shots. He made a 3 pointer with 2:05 remaining, missed a 3 pointer with 19 seconds remaining, and missed a 3 point shot at the buzzer (when it was too late to matter anyway, plus it was on an in bounds pass after a Ray Allen free throw).

Yeah, I saw that. Funny stuff. Reminds me of when Sheed threw a towel on Sabonis.
I like the Spurs addition of Kurt Thomas. He should fit in and be more productive with them then he was in his Suns days.
Though they better not get Artest as rumors say they might. If they did, I can know longer root for them. Its a shame too. I want them to come out of the West again.
