2009 NBA CHAMPIONS
There was no malice or excessive force in it, it was just unfortunate that Wallace was hurt as bad as he was. Bynum was late on the rotation and gave up a hard foul, in these softened up days of the NBA a flagrant 1 is justified. Go back 10yrs ago and its just a foul, players like Charles Oakley and Bill Cartright wouldnt be able to play in the league today.
Very disappointing effort anyway by the Lakers, the Bobcats are our Kryptonite. They've won 5 out of the last six meetings, hope we dont meet them in the finals. 🤨 The one bright spot was the continued strong play by Bynum, he is regaining that form he had before he went down last season. I love his activity on the boards and he is patrolling the paint like he should. One thing he is doing that the coaches (and fans) have been imploring him to do is run the floor hard. He can change ends so quickly with those long strides and it really puts pressure on the defense and could lead to numerous transition points. He needs to stick to that especially against centers like Shaq and Yao.
Unfortunately with Bynum's resurgence Pau has been playing badly, i think he is starting to feel the effects of the longest season of his career and he might even be hoping he doesnt make the all star team so he can get some rest.
All in all we didnt deserve to win that game, we were lucky that the Cats missed so many FT's in the 4th. Phils substitutions were awful and Lamar leaving Diaw open for a 3 when they were down 3 late is an example of why many fans have labeled him Odumb over the years. We have to focus on bouncing back because this is a gruelling road trip coming up.
