Lakers today

Healthy Kobe and Andrew

Go Lakers

Lakers win

All around good effect from all. Great to see a healthy Bynum; great defense by Artest

Double Double for both bigs, Kobe shot poor but still 20+ pts

Bench played better

Glad to see that no one got hurt today. I expect us to close this out in 5 games.

Blazers with a huge win. THATS how to play playoff basketball! Every other series going to the plan so far, anyone see any upsets anywhere?

Did not expect Blazers to win. Marcus played great D and Miller was lights out.

Spurs/Mavs and Heat/Celtics I look at as ones that seem to have greater chances at being upsets.

Spurs need production from guys other than their big three. Jefferson will have an impact on this series in one way or the other.

In the case for the Heat, story is nearly the same, except it's been a one man show. Someone that isn't named Dwayne Wade, needs to step up big.

Garnett will be out for one game. The Heat need to take full advantage of that. This isn't the same Boston team a few years ago. So if Miami plays hard and gets some production from their other guys, they could advance.

I'd add "and put Boston out of it's misery", but Celtic players and fans alike always seem miserable.

The west has some great match up's in general. So you never know.

I thought Utah had the best chance, but without Okur, it's not happening.

Blazers win and Camby is being extended 2 years. Great day to be a Blazer.

And although Camby is being overpaid (2 yr, $25M with $21M guaranteed), Blazers have no cap room left anyway for the next 2 years, so overpaying doesn't bother me.

Not in Game 1. Although, I do expect Charlotte-Orlando to be the most evenly matched series.

Why?

Mainly because Charlotte has Jackson, Wallace, and Felton. Just wait until the series goes to Charlotte. They got blown out at first but came back. They have an attitude to them. They're my wildcard in the east.

Nothing against your team though. But it all depends on Howard. If he fails to estalish supremacy as the best player on the floor, Orlando is most likely in trouble.

You guys should win in 6 or 7.

Bobcats guards, including Felton, can't guard Nelson who scored and dished at will.

They also are suppose to have one of the best perimeter defenses and gave up 13 shots at 43%.

Howard had a bad game because of fouls. He retaliated to being locked up by the Bobcat's bigs nearly every play. He missed his ft's, but that's his fault.

But in the time he was in (27:49) he had 9 blocks. There's no concern on his success at being dominant.

Carter was awful, but no one forced him into his bad shooting but him.
He's trying to prove his worth and having a bad opener to show for it. He'll come around.

The Magic did blow a big lead (22), but Dwight wasn't available to assist in keeping a resurgent Bobcats team in check. Vince was a no show (save FT's) and they were screwed by a lot of bad calls.

I would also like to point out that the Bobcats score in bunches and in spurts. However they also have a lot of scoring droughts in between.

The Magic tend to have a much higher consistency on offense, thanks greatly to their depth.

Even with my goggles off, I have a difficult time believing this series will reach 6 games let alone the distance of a full 7.

We'll see.

I believe the Magic will win in 5.

And they have Vince Carter. The best clutch scorer of all time.

If he was playing for a contract.

One bad game means nothing.

He's playing for a ring.

How did Turk work out for you guys again? biscuits

@Geshien

Hell. Your probably right. I just picked them because it was the series that everyone was overlooking. Charlotte is real when they play at home though.

Underdog mentality. I can dig it.

Speaking on home court playing. I wanna see how much that will factor in the Utah/Denver series.

That Utah crowd is notorious.

Utah is without Okur, but they have some big guys at center. Will be interesting to see how they run the floor.

I still give it to Denver.

It's not just one game.

It's his entire career. He's been playing for a ring for years.

In reality, you probably want Turk over Vince.

Quit hatin' SMasandian.

I would not want to take Turk over Vince. Esp. not with his contract, attitude and history.

We knew how Hedo was and that he wasn't worth the extra money.

I always thought it was funny how people looked at him as Mr. 4th qtr. because he often got us in holes to begin with. From passing wild no look passes because he failed to gauge a fast break, being lazy, chucking up shots and being a passive aggressive princess with an over-sized contract, yeah, no thanks.

I'll take Wince and his b.s. because of what he is capable of.

Can you honestly say he has the same attitude he had in the past, most notably in Toronto? And he's older physically. Give the man a break.

And before anyone attacks his production levels this year. His numbers are down because he gets less touches.

January was an awful month for him, but he bounced back in a big way, Feb. Bustin' out 48 points even. Last time someone did that for the Magic it was Tracy McGrady, and he was all we had.

It's not like he's alone out there. Vince has never been on a team this deep or good. He hasn't been selfish and he's brought his best, which can be pretty good.

Whatever. I guess I'm the same way with Shaq.

I don't really care that much if he does well or not but it's funny that I heard the same thing before when he was with the Nets.

Now I hear it from a Magic fan.

I never doubt his talent. He has gods of talent. He could of been one of the greats. I doubt his character. What he did to the Raptors was unforgivable.

I feel you Smasandian. I dont hate Vince, he brought a lot of media to Toronto and made us a team to watch, I just cant help but feel we'd be top four in the league had he stayed with Bosh having been drafted. The way he left was hurtful after the years of support and love we gave him as fans, it felt as though it had all been thrown back in our face.

Would I rather Turk or Vince? I dont think I could make the decision.

Magic to win 4-0. Made a little bet on the east playoffs as he doesnt follow the west... magic sweep was one, Cavs sweep the Bulls, ATL beat the Bucks 4-1, and boston beats Miami 4-2.

I made some predictions on the west, LAL beat OKC 4-2, Jazz to beat the Nuggs 4-2/4-3, Suns Blazers 4-1 to the Suns, but my heart is saying 4-3 to the Suns, I think the Blazers can hang around in this one. and also Mavs to beat the Spurs 4-2

I don't hate him either. He is probably a good guy personally but as a team player, he's a douchbag. He pretended to be hurt, ruined any chance of the Raptors getting good value for him when they traded him and when he started to play for the Nets, he becomes amazing again. It was brutal. Also, he was never a good closer anyways. Hopefully for Magic fans, he suddenly becomes one.

If you look at other situations similar to that one, namely Roy Halladay. He played like he always did, treated the fans that adore him with respect and when he got traded, there was absolutely no bad blood between Toronto and himself. Bosh will happen very similar. Toronto fans understand if Bosh leaves. He wants to win and the team can't provide that right now. Did he pretend to be hurt, and sulked? No, he continued to play as well as he can and if we sign-trade him, we should get a good bountry for him because he didn't **** the team.
