Now I hear it from a Magic fan.

I never doubt his talent. He has gods of talent. He could of been one of the greats. I doubt his character. What he did to the Raptors was unforgivable.

You'll continue to hear it because we didn't/aren't going through the same crap the Raptors did.

I have always been a fan of the game and Carter had me watching Raptors basketball. Even became a fan (having a raptor as a mascot helped since I'm a dino fanboy).

And when he pulled some of the shit he pulled, I was mad, disgusted, hurt and fed up. But I got over it.

I'm not a die hard Raptors fan. I'm a Magic fan first and foremost. But that doesn't mean I don't recognize the possible negatives in bringing a player with bad history. However, he hasn't shown that kind of mentality since leaving the Raptors over 5 years ago.

If anything, I was more concerned about his ability at this point.

Shaq is still a prick. He didn't do anything underhanded like Vince, but he left the Magic high a dry. He did so without grace. And today he refuses to acknowledge Dwight over a stupid nick name. He'd be a great mentor to Dwight if he would just swallow his pride. But even with that I don't hate him they way most Raptor fans hate Vince and it's been over 5 years.

And I've had worse done to me personally than what Vince did to the Raptors. And for some of those who have wronged me, I've forgiven them.

I'd understand this grudge better if I saw that he was still the same man he was then.

He had some disagreements with Kidd when he was with the Nets, but nothing major. He mentored many players on the Nets, including Harris, and played unselfishly with both PG's, while still playing up to his talents.

In Orlando he's got a great team surrounding him and he's followed Gundy's coaching well. We want him to take shots, so he takes them. Even when he misses them, we still want him to try and find his rhythm. The fortunate thing is we have a talented/deep enough team where he doesn't have to all the time.

Seems kind of pointless to hold anything against this guy at this point except for drama purposes when Vince plays against Toronto.

What's done is done. That's all I'm saying.

Fans are allowed to hate a player who screwed them over and pretended it was management's fault.

In the end, I don't really care. Like you said, its 5 years ago but still, I can't go, "well he did **** over the franchise that did everything they could to please him" 3 years ago, and now, pretend it didn't happen.

You don't sound very convincing when you say you don't care. 😂

I would go on about how every team gets screwed and how shit happens, but I see you're hell bent on maintaining your attitude.

I will end by saying I hope you guys can rebuild and move in the right direction soon.

It's the first time I've talked about Carter for a very long time. Trust me, I don't really care.

I just find it funny.

What's bound to happen with the Raptors is what happens all the time with Toronto teams. They will try to keep Bosh, he will leave and Colengelo will get fired in the next 3 years and the process will repeat. Unfortunately, they will either get somebody like him or get somebody new like Babcock.

Lakers win again

Kobe scores 39, Pau 24. Lakers need Ron Ron and Lamar to play big. Drew had 10 boards

Blazers lose badly and Batum re-injured his shoulder that kept him out half of the season. Bad day to be a Blazer.

The thing that was hardest at the time was that he was our first franchise player who could be the next big thing in the entire league. He'd never be an MJ or Kobe, but he could have got close. Those guys never gave up, stayed with their teams(pretty much) and won. Carter wanted it easy and showed he wanted out by disrespecting us, the Raptors fans, by playing bad to get traded. This hurt so much at the time, we gave this guy all our all when he played, and for him to throw it back stung. But it has been a while, and I dont hate him for it. He'll always be one of the best Raptors players in the history of the franchise, its just a shame how it all ended.

Ahhh gotta love Kevin Durant shutting down Kobe in the 4th.

Kobe just wanted to lose because Lebron did.

Missed the game, but HELL YEAH THUNDER!! They are the only reason I still watch the NBA.

It's funny how the Laker duo don't come out when they lose.

That was painful to watch.
