Sounds like Brian Grant won't call Blazers back.
Anyway, Timberwolves gave Clippers Sam Cassell and a conditional 1st pick for Marko Jaric and Lionel Chalmers. I like this trade for the T-Wolves. I don't have a clue who Chalmers is (thats pretty rare for me not to know somebody) but after this last season, I'd take Jaric over Cassell in a heart beat. Just hope that pick doesn't become something good.

I use to be a big Live advocate (I own 2005). However, staying down in LA I only have access to ESPN at my brothers. I have been playing it a bunch with my brother and would have to say that it is much better and much more realistic. The only flaw is the ridiculous amount of turnovers. Maybe that is just multiplayer though, thats all I've played so far on ESPN.
ohhhhh, take that sucka!!.....thats exactly what i said in the beggining of the year, but i believe your exact words were "ESPN sucks my nuts", yea...than Live must take it up the ass huh?
you know i'm just playin, your still my boy blue
You're in Lakerland Myth? Jeez that must be torture for you, all those people walking around in Kobe jerseys.
It seems like the most coveted FA (amnesty clause) on the market at the moment is Michael Finley, he has Phoenix, Miami, Denver, San Antonio and Detroit after him. Also rumours are about that Payton may be heading to the Suns, he'd be a great back up for Nash. Even though he couldn't throw it in the ocean he can still play some decent D and push the ball on the break. Miami really looks like they are stocking up with talented veterans for a make or break championship run, i still have questions about Walker and Williams putting their egos on hold for a season and getting the job done.
I'm starting to really worry that the Laker team as it stands is gonna be the one that takes the floor in November, unless they are being really secretive all they have done is release Grant and sign journeyman PG Smush Parker. We badly need some muscle up front especially as Ronny Turiaf is out for at least a season recovering from heart surgery. I would happily ship Cook and Medvedenko out if it could bring a blue collar PF who could back up Kwame. Some reports I've read speculate the Lakers may trade some expiring contracts to Toronto for Rose, this is the sort of trade i hope happens. He is a proven scorer who could fill the PG vacancy and play a number of positions.
What are you guys expecting from your teams this coming season?
Actually, I didn't see too much Laker stuff (or at least no more than Portland has) but a lot of Oak Raiders stuff. Hmmm... must be that lack of playoff thing. But yeah, I'm home now after 1 and 1/2 weeks. Good time but a little warm for my blood. I've heard the same rumors Kool. Although I was disappointed to here Grant go to Suns, I'm even happier that he is no longer a Laker. I just have way too much respect for that man.
😆 Yeah Brian is a class act, all the more reason the Lakers should have kept him. 😛
I guess in LA there are plenty of fair weather Laker fans who only support the team when its winning. I've supported them since i first watched a game of hoops back in 81, they had a really rough patch in the 90's but it makes you appreciate the good times even more.
Anybody see that Lebron will be on the hood of a NASCAR? Its pretty sweet but my only problem with it is that it is a cartoon that has him wearing a light blue jersey (to match the car color). I'm affraid that many will over look the smaller print saying "Lebron James" and mistake it for Jordan in his college days of NC.
I'm guessing its Poweraids doings. I know Jordan didn't wear a headband, but I'm thinking that a lot of people who aren't close NBA followers don't know Lebron (or enough about him to recognize him) and they know from years of Jordan days that Jordan was on NC and wore #23. I just think Lebrons name should more of a house hold name than it already is. 😄
