What really pisses me off about BSPN is the coverage of "sports" like poker, juggling and billiards. I mean do they really think that people would rather watch those "sports" instead of the main US sports that are way more popular? Im not a huge baseball or football fan but i know there is a huge market for it outside America much like basketball. Poker is on more than the main three in New Zealand and when its not on the are advertising the sad pricks who play like they are sporting superstars. BSPN blows goats as far as im concerned but unfortunately i have no alternative for NBA action.
Big deal in the NBA:

I don't like the deal for Miami. Sure they got a lot of talent but the only player that works for them is Posey. I don't expect Antwan is going to be too happy when all the shots are going to Shaq and Wade. I don't expect they'll put Williams at shooting guard as he's not a good defender, undersized, and not a good shooter. He might make a good backup but J'Will has never been happy being a backup. Posey's a nice addition, he's somewhat of a Jones replica only younger.
I agree Dr. S. Miami got the biggest name guys but they aren't the best fit. J-Will and Walker are too big of egos so Heat will have to be top notch to keep their mouths shut. The moment that Heat isn't #1 or 2 in the East, those 2 will want individual attention in return. However, with the talent that they have now, it really could go one way or another but I don't see any middle grounds.
derek anderson playing point? i thought he was a 2? when he first came in he was drafted by cleveland, quite a good player too. 12-15pts he averaged if my memory serves me right and jordan signed him up for his shoe. he'll provide depth for the lakers, but he wont be used much behind kobe.
whats everyones veiws on best pickups so far of the off season? cleveland has done very well in my opinion, and should easily get into the playoffs, probably past the first round too.
does anyone see the knicks being better with larry brown in charge? personally, i thought it were the players, not the head coach they had a problem with.
indeed phil likes using big gaurds, but didnt he use fisher in his previous spell at la?
just gotta say ron harper was a freat player. his defense was great, michael jordan once said that the only person who could gaurd mj was ron harper, and they were on the same team.
Yep Phil did use Fish at point but thats more of a case of having no big point to take his place.
Larry Brown will make the Knicks better, their main problem is players but Brown will get the most out of those players.
I think MJ forgot about Dumars when he was talking about players that could guard him, oh and Craig Elo 😆
haha good ole' craig ehlo. last time i saw him pay was in a sonics uni, back in the kemp payton era. does anone remember a game the knicks played against the bulls, i think in the 98' season, towards the end of the season i think as well before the playoffs, and theres like a few seconds left and the knicks are down by one or two at chicago. ewing gets the ball with seconds left and looses off a turnaround fadeaway. hits the top left corner of the glass and in. and i mean the top left hand corner! that was a crazy shot, and even though it was probably down to luck, i kinda hope it was meant for😄
I feel awkward. I'm staying in Laker territory. 🙁
Anyway, don't expect much out of DA. He hasn't been able to do squat for the Blazers. As a point? Blazers tried it (along with Pippen and Miles, etc) and it failed miserably. He is never healthy enough to play and when he does, its still as if his legs can't carry him and when he first came in the league, that's what he depended on. Good luck with him. Other than that, he is a great great person.
wuTa, doubt it man. Yao is one of the most overrated players in the league, the numbers that he puts up are pretty weak for someone of his size and mobility. He should easily be a 20-10 player (especially with him being a good FT shooter) but he has no aggression to his game at all, the amount of times this dude gets dunked on is ridiculous for someone 7-6. Unless he has a personality transplant i can see him having another mediocre season.
Myth, thanks for the profile on Anderson (i realise it must have been painful to act interested in the Lakers). I dont think the Lakers have much choice but to sign him, there really isnt much talent out there at the point. The Lakers dont have alot of cash to offer and they are only offering 2yr deals so they can be under the cap room for 2007. If Anderson comes to the Lakers i just home he can play some decent D because that was the Lakers biggest problem last year, sticking the occasional 3 wouldnt hurt either.
