he played apart, i'm not gonna argue that, but i do think shaq gets too much credit, anyone who has followed wade could tell he had the potential to be great, and he really broke out year before they got shaq in the playoffs, but since he broke out agains east coast teams, it was downplayed, because "it was in the eastern conference", well he's still kicking ass, even when hes's in the western conference 🙂

and just for the record, i know myth didn't downplay wade, or say any of the things i have in quotes, thats just what i heard by alot of fans when i would mention wade before he blew up

Anyone seen Carmelo Anthony's new commercial?

charlie villanueva... 27pts on 12/17? add 13 rebounds? i see no-ones giving him any respect... in spite of the fact most people slagged the raps off for taking him. proud hes answered the critics.yeha u can argue that only the last two games hes really done anything like this... but only these two last games has been given 30+ minutes.

I was pretty skeptical at first but now I'm confused by why Charlie isn't ranked higher yet among the rookes.

What Melo commercial? Its not the one in the store is it? I like that one because I don't like Melo and I love laughing at everybody throwing crap at him and that the one guy slams something in Melo's basket and him this cocky "What? What?" look. LOL.... I hate you Melo.

Anyway, anybody following the development of Dwight Howard? He was already playing better than Okafor this year and that was before he became the youngest player in history to have a 20 and 20 game.

Speaking of rookies from last year, Ben Gordon isn't doing shit. Anybody know why?

yeah dwights all good... thats why hes on my fantasy team. okafors good, but give him time and he'll get there, being at worst a solid power forward.

raps just signed darrick martin... vet pg. i remember him with the clips years ago i think, hopefully he can help develop and play some good minutes.

as for gordon, maybe hes just not in a groove yet... its inevitable some players just arent there yet. i think ray allen aint quite there either.

Howard is a ridiculous athlete, his skills are starting to catch up with his body and i can see him and Steve Francis developing a very deadly tandem.
Okafor had a more polished game coming into the NBA and i think thats why he was more consistent last year. I'd happily have him on the Lakers, he is a great shot blocker and he loves rebounding and doing the intangibles to help his team, every team needs someone like that.

okafor and the bobs beat indy not long ago... emeka had a good game too..

toronto still aint won???? damn it man🙁 ah well.. its to be expected. as long as the rooks can continue to progress i'll be happy if we finish 29th.

Good to see the Lakers stopped the bleeding with a win over the Knicks. How about Charlotte beating Indiana? Just goes to show every dog has its day. Myth, good win for the Blazers against Chicago.

Yeah, Blazers have been playing surprisingly well (or at least the few vets on the team). They are 3 and 3 with a near upset on Detroit which is 10X better than expected.

Sometimes its better to have lower expectations of your team, especially in a rebuilding stage. The Laker forum that i visit was crazy when we were on a three game losing skid, "trade Kobe", "trade Odom" were just some of the stupid threads. Some people just dont get that you cant compete for a championship every year, patience is required for the rebuilding seasons. All you can ask is that your team goes out and plays hard and plays together.

yeah the lakers are still looking for that elusive big man whos gonna do it night in night out.... mihm just aint quite there... but he'd make a good back up. maybe he'll develop though. swoosh parker seems to be pretty decent? havent really looked closely at the lakers though, so kool, you'll have to tell me how he really is doing.

Sixers are on a 6 game winning streak!!! 🤘

And for Charlie Villanueva, he's surprising me becuase he wasnt this good in College. And went your not playin this good in college, you cant expect him to do better in the NBA. From his stats in College, he shouldnt have been picked by the Raptors that early. But it paid off for them because he's doing really good.

Detriot is 8-0, tying there best franshise start in history, thats right baby, were gonna beat the bulls record, and take our title back....

DETROIT BABY DETROIT!!!!!!!!! 🙂 😮‍💨

^Detroit's going to contend for the title but let's not get delusional. They are not going to beat the Bulls record.

Kings are starting to look better. They beat a pretty good Milwaukee team soundly. The starting five are starting to look very dangerous, but the bench is still crap. Rahim has really been carrying us. He has a great all a round game and for 5 mil a year...STEAL.

yes they are 😛

how about the heat, 5-2 w/o shaq

Sixers will knock them out in the 2nd round. 😛

and the Pistons in the first. 😛

lets not get delusional 😛

Well, Cleveland is really starting to look good now. 8-2 with a 7 game win streak. Thats tied for 2nd in the league and only 1/2 a game behind Detroit who is 8-1 after getting stomped by Dallas. Speaking of, Dallas is getting a little overlooked. They are 7-2 but have now stomped Spurs and the Pistons. Josh Howard is beginning to play very well. Also, in the last two days Lebron (today) got a triple-double with 36 points and Wade was 1 rebound away from himself while scoring 33 yesterday.

On to something I'm surprised nobody (including myself) has posted yet. A list of predictions:

Champions:
1. Spurs
2. Pistons
3. Heat

Finals Loser:
1. Pistons
2. Spurs
3. Heat

MVP:
1. Tim Duncan
2. Lebron James
3. Dwayne Wade

Defensive player of the year:
1. Marcus Camby
2. Shawn Marion
3. Ben Wallace

Rookie of the Year:
1. Chris Paul
2. Charlie Villanueva
3. Andrew Bogut

Most Improved Player:
1. Dwight Howard
2. Smush Parker
3. Zaza Pachulia (TJ Ford and James Jones have a chance too)

Sixth Man:
1. Antoine Walker
2. Ben Gordon
3. Earl Boykins

Coach of the Year:
1. Flip Saunders
2. Mike Dunleavy
3. Mike Montgomery (Greg Pop isn't on this list because I think he doesn't get enough credit in the voting because his team has been so constant. Flip is an exception because he is a new coach to the Pistons and that gives a voters bias)

Sixers lost 2 in a row. 🙁 Dwyane Wade was crazy, even Iggy couldn't stop him. And we lost a close game to the Cavs, but we were up by 16.

raps beat miami!!! woohoo!!!!!!! bout time we got a win... but against a class team like the heat? awesome. the playoffs next.... then the title!!!!

bosh is a savage
