Untrue. It doesn't completely absorb all kinetic energy. It just dampens it. Enough powerful kinetic energy would easily push Cap back.
I recall the time when Colossus punched Cap's shield with Cap behind it. Sent Cap flying.
Cyke's blasts are hella powerful. Cap isn't doing any sort of "walking through it". 🙄

* if it's a covered dome - Cyke can ricochet his blasts to hit even both Nightwing and Cap...
* if it's uncovered, wide plain - there's no place for Nightwing or Cap to sneak from behind and they will eat the blasts squarely...
* and yes, Cap's shield would be able to block the blasts and leave his body unscathed, but who says Cyke will blast the shield? Cap cannot squeeze himself behind to shield to cover from the blast and Cyke will hit those limbs extended uncovered by the shield... 😉

And cap will be able to see where cyclops is aiming the blast, all he has to do is look, and yes caps reflexes are that good, considering they are atleast 10times that of cyclops.

Nightwing would never attack when cyclops was expecting it. This is Why characters liek that are so effective. They wait and plan an attack, they know how to move in the shadows, without making a sound and avoiding security. They strike out of the darkness quick and decively.
If Cyclops falls then it due to the fact that he simply cant win.

HE wouldnt know the attack was comming, thats the whole point. NW isnt going to walk up and say hey lets fight.
