Say, for example, I join a political party, the Glokspeils or something. But while I hold to their common values and political goals I might believe, I don't know, that a political text written 100 years ago by two guys was more the work of Author A rather then Author B (Author B being the commonly accepted main contributor of the work) - now would the fact I have a slightly different belief then many others in the party regarding the interpretation of their text mean I am not a Glokspeils despite the fact all it takes to be defined as one is adherence to the overall party?

No, and it doesn't mean Nellinator isn't Christian because his view is different then your own. Don't make me quote the theological and historic definition of a Christian again. What a person has faith in makes them a Christian or a Muslim or a Buddhist or whatever. Their doctrinal views are what make them a particular type of Christian of Muslim etc.

And if you can honestly say that a person deserves to miss out on heaven because while they earnestly and completely believe in God and Jesus (as they people most certainly do) they have a slightly different interpretation of what a text means, then I seriously question whether you posses some of the most basic part of what people claim a question is. And if your God is actually like that then he is not a God that I would want to know.

How do you know he is wrong and you are right?

Or are you afraid that your actual feelings on the matter might be at odds with what you think your God thinks of the matter, and if you express it... is there a man in there, or just someone grovelling before a tyrant? Because I believe if there is a God, and if he is good, he would accept that he and his followers might have disagreements over the way things are done. Only a tyrant would punish you for not being a total clone of his will. Someone who loved you would accept you have an individual mind.

That is actually quite true - as they say one of the easiest ways to bring something down is from the inside. I suspect, if there was an Antichrist, that he would attack Christianity from the inside. Am I saying Marhcello is the Antichrist? No, the Antichrist is said to be charismatic.

Still if Marchello is, in some twisted way, Christian it is even more reprehensible because he is so full of pride he fails to see the harm he does his own faith. He is like some of the clergy from Medieval times who put themselves before the faith. No wonder people broke off and made new Branches of Christianity:

I agree. I stopped bashing Christianity a while after Marcello's entrance to KMC, because I saw what a horrible insult to Christianity he has been on KMC, and I didn't want to further contribute to that.

Actually they are funny to me when I get past how insulting they are to my intelligence, the threat of causing a stroke due to the sheer historical inaccuracy etc.

Jack Chick doesn't write them to be funny, sure, which is why they are so very, very sad. He clearly believes his twisted, hate filled view of the world.

It is funny, I mean, a filmmaker can make a movie that might portray, say, women in a less then positive light and people will label them a misogynist, yet Jack Chick portrays everybody from gays to Buddhists terribly yet no one is labeling him a racist, homophobic bigot.
