Exactly what is going wrong here, and in the rest of the world. To many worship their own idea's and conclusions as holy, and are blind to any other options brought by others, no matter the motivations on either side.
There is a disturbing need to make one self count, regardless of the (possible) truth behind one's thoughts.
We seem to care no longer for unity, but only for individual presence.
I believe that certain members need to read the forum rules, particularly the part about personal attacks. And then note that even in the OTF, the forum rules still apply.

Too true - I just wish more people weren't so blind to their own faults and deaf to others' opinions. It's quite sad and promotes only ignorance and selfishness. I suppose it must be easier to humiliate someone else than it is to humble one's self.

Probably, but if you read back a little you'll see I've admitted numerous times that I'm guilty on occasion. Doesn't stop me wishing everyone were nicer and more easy-going with other people. Myself included. Which, by the way, I am working on. I can't work on other people.

It's a burden of self-awareness that we are probably not ready to cope with yet. Some dumbshit entity; a god, evolution or just bad luck, gave us ego before wisdom. With some amusement I must say, look where that is getting us...
