oh, i know he has talent, he can do some awesome stuff... its just that it seems when he has to do too many characters on a page he seems to go to hell...

Isn't that true for most artists? I think a real offender in that regard is Carlo Barberi (?). Just look at the faces (especially the girls) he draws for Young Justice in OWAW.
I mean, this is their style, and unless they work from models there are gonna be similarities in the people they draw. Not that it is inevitable; it takes a greater awareness, I would imagine, of one's work to strive to create subtle differences to prevent cookie-cutter characters.
