UMMM Jupiter is not only atmosphere. THere is solid ground in jupiter. Ok be it that it may be metallic hydrogen and helium, buts its still ground. The core of jupiter is even hotter than the surface of the sun.
If there were no ground on jupiter, dont you think that when Shoemaker Levy( comet or fragment ) hit it in the 90's would have gone straight through?????
