Illumined by a sunbeam, this is an actual photo of the Earth, taken by Voyager 1 from beyond the orbit of Neptune.Every living thing, every person who's ever lived; every thought, emotion and deed any of us have ever known; every alien, every demon or god ever imagined...it's all right here, on this pale bluish dot.
This sounds very similar to a poster i own. Its from a speech Carl Sagan gave to the astronomical community back in thw 80s.

Yeah I knew all that, but I ddn't want to go all technicall, of course that because of it's high gravity it must have something solid at it's core. Thank God for Jupiter! It saved us many times from comets and asteroids and stuff, it'sa big giant hoover.
This actually opens up the idea/discussion of life on other worlds. Astronomers who dedicate their lives trying to find evidence of life on other planets agree that in order for life to evolve as it has here on Earth, a Jupiter size planet is required to protect an Earth like planet from collision with other objects from space.
Life (Human intelligent life) on Earth evolved because Jupiter HAS protected us for millions of years from a giant asteroid or other object essentially wiping us out. In order for intelligent lif to evolve it needs a jupiter like planet to shield it for millions and millions of years.
