i just watched a clip of interviews where the writers basically said Will is going to turn full pirate by 3. its actually from dead man's chest interviews. its really interesting. check it out:

what was wrong with her kissing Jack? that was the hottest kiss in movie history, plus it was essential to character development, plus it was essential to the plot, plus it was freaking gorgeous.
