Can't wait for the BCS standings, there is going to be some controversy, TY UCLA for causing all this shit.

I think UCLA simplified it a little. Because there were still plenty of people who thought UCLA or Michigan deserved it over USC, even if USC won. At least now its only a two way split.

I think you mean Florida but anyways there was no shot for either of those teams to get in if USC just had won, but no they lost and now there is a legitimate argument as to who should be #2.

If USC won they would have got in yes, but there was still some controversy about it.. as there always will be unless you have 2 top teams who are undefeated.

Reports are coming in that Florida is #2 in the final BCS standings, and if it's true then congrats to all you Florida fans you lucky sons of bitches, you can go ahead and send UCLA a TY card in the mail.

i think they can thank themselves for playing a very very hard schedule and kicking ass all season long.

I'm not going to start predicting what's going to happen between OSU and USC until USC beats UCLA. I dont want to come out and say USC will win the national title game vs OSU then they end up getting beat by UCLA and not even go to the title game. SO I'll save my predictions til after next weeks game.

I am so glad I said this.....^

It's official Florida vs OSU in the Tostitos National Championship.

Kicking ass? They beat teams by 10 points the last five games....I don't call that "kicking ass".

Michigan got robbed, plain and simple. Things like this will continue happening as long as the BCS is in place.

Dont get me wrong I think Michigan is clearly the second best team in college football. But Fl had a hard schedule and they did what counts they won 12 games.

I agree that they deserve to play OSU, but you can argue that the teams they played weren't exactly the calibre they usually are; a la FSU. Should they play, however, is a completely different argument.

Now since AP poll has Florida over Michigan there is no chance that Michigan can get a share of the national title even if they do beat USC in the Rose Bowl.

I really wish we had an 8 team playoff... look at these matchups

(1) #8 Boise @ #1 OSU
(2)#7 USC @ #2 Florida
(3)#6 Wisconsin @ #3 Michigan
(4)#5 Louisville @ #4 LSU

(1) plays (4)
(2) plays (3)

The point of this post isnt to argue about which 8 teams I used or what rank they were given. But more so jus that playoffs would be great to watch. You can give that undefeated team like Boise a chance to show they belong, and if that backett worked out you would give michigan a chance to earn a rematch vs OSU.

Yes we are in need of a playoff...ahahaha I would not be saying this if USC had beaten UCLA.

But in all honesty we do need a friggen playoff system because the BCS is trash and almost every year there is controversy.

Only when we have two dominant teams like last year USC and Texas will there be no controversy but that's not going to happen often.

Agreed...That's a damn good set up. Can you imagine those games? And if people are worried about sponsorship, you can keep the BCS, just have them in play-off format: a la the games are "bowl games" just playoff games as well.

Like the 1 vs 8 game is the Holiday Bowl. The 2 vs 7 the Fiesta. The 3 vs 6 the Peach Bowl. The 3 vs 4 is the Gator Bowl...etc.

Last year was an aberration, nothing more.

yea and then the second round is the Orange and Rose bowl, and the final the lamely named Tostito national championship.

It would definitely work, those who say they wont make money from a playoff system are crazy. Ratings would be amazing as it would be one of the most exciting times in sports, and sponsors would be lining up.

Congrats to Florida. Hope they represent themselves well. I'd also like to say that I'm happy that forum and I finally agree on something. 🙂

What is it that we agree on?

When I said I was happy that forum and I finally agree on something, I was talking about forumcrew.

So what do you guys think will be a better game??

USC vs Michigan or Ohio State vs Florida?

Also I just realized that this could possibly be the National title game in college hoops too.

Gotcha, I thought you meant the "forum", rather than just Forumcrew.

They're both not going to be very good games...I think USC is going to be blown out by Michigan just as much as Florida is Ohio.
