Boooooooooo!
Hey, I heard on the radio that Michigan is an underdog to USC. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought they were the second best team in the country? Leaving Florida out of the discussion, how can anyone justify that? Saying it's in Pasadena is not a valid argument because when you get to this level of play, location is hardly a factor in big games, unless there is weather involved - and there won't be.
Oh. The radio guys must have been misinformed.
Man, two of those games just jump right off the page in terms of lock-of-the-week picks (for straight-up office or Internet pools). I'm talking Clemson over UK (too much rushing offense and clock control) and USC over Houston (Too much athleticm, well-coached, and I assume they'll start Mitchell at QB). I'll put the mortgage on these two straight-up (...well, not really...). The lines right now are 10 and 6-1/2, respectively.
There's one more that kind of jumps out. LSU playing the Irish in Louisiana. I'll bet Charlie Weis sh*t his pants when he got the news about that one.
