About people who hunt....

I think Hunters SUCK!

What the frick is soo macho about shooting a bear from many feet away? How hard is it to kick the shit out of a deer? Or how about hunting lions and other animals from far away about to go extinct?? Or better yet whales that live FAR from people and are in the WATER?

I couldn't imagine my life being so devoid of any meaning that it drives me to go out and shoot animals, if they are in their natural environment and not messing with me, why go out and mess with them? Hunting shows a total lack of appreciation of life or any sense of compassion. How can someone not see how amazing it is life even exist at all and why destroy it?
When someone claims they hunt for food I call bullshit, there is enough restaurants and grocery stores near most places.

GO WRESTLE A SHARK OR A STINGRAY without weapons you mothersucking hunters, then I would be willing to call you macho.

Anyways hunting isn't as bad as you make it out to be. I know quite a few people that hunt because they enjoy it and they do eat the meat from what they kill. Not because they want to feel "macho". 🙄

I am not saying not to eat animals but to go out of your way to hunt an animal to stuff and and hang it on yoru wall shows how much of a pussy you are unless you beat a bear up with your fist.

Humans have hunted animals to extinction - not to eat them- just say they could kill it with weapons from a distance, instead of destroy something with your time, be creative and make something useful. And farm animals are bred to be killed, so that's fine.

Wow, wild animals should be allowed to live without human threats other then consumption but farm animals (which are treated brutally in comparison) are ok to kill.

Yeah, you got it about right except for the idiot part. Are cows in danger of losing their habitat due to human encroachment? pigs? no. They coexist well with humans and will continue to propogate and expand as a species, but part of that deal is that they will die to make me a juicy steak.

Bears and shit on the other hand are not nearly so plentiful. They lose habitat everyday and their numbers continue to dwindle. Whales too. People out hunting them give no thought to the future of our wild animals.

Hunters should be rounded up and allowed to hunt each other with baseball bats with rusty nails driven through them.

Humans have killed off more species by just living and invading their habitats then have ever been killed by hunting. While I agree with you on some points some hunters do kill for meat and to live off of. Some do it for sport and others just like to kill things, if you look at it in another way hunters and the fees that they pay put more money into conservation and animal habitats then any other group.

So are you telling me now that not only do hunters kill these animals with guns they are also destroying their land as well and diminishing their habitat?

You do realize the majority of hunters in the USA want the animals to live so they can continue to hunt in the future. They aren't the ones looking to destroy habitats and wipe out species, you're confusing that with other groups.

Yeah, and if you look at it even another way...I know a dude that hunts with dogs. He pulls his pick-up truck over on the side of the road and lets the dogs go. The dogs chase the deer out of the woods and across the road where he's sitting on a cooler just taking pot shots all day.

Who wants to here a story about a friend of mine running across a hunter?

I know many hunters and some are my friends, I was born and raised in Alaska where hunting and fishing are major income for the state. There are many tribes of Eskimos that still hunt for the tribe and use every part of the whale, bear or deer that they kill. Will I don’t think that sitting in a tree decked out in cammo is hunting, it’s more of target practice than anything ones that bow hunt or track down the prey is more sporting and gives the animal a chance to use it’s own skills to avoided the hunter.

I wasn't talking about the Inuits or the Yup'iks. They live in relative harmony with their environments as far as hunting goes. Their seal humping activities worry me a little, but that's their culture.

BTW, Inuits consider the term "eskimo" to be highly racist. I'd figure someone from Alaska would know this.
