I was kind of assuming you guys would have found the crew locked up in the crew quarters as well... call it insight from the Force.

"Get through to the bridge NOW, mah," Gundark ordered. She deflected yet another laser blast. "We've got to get to Malastare....this is taking too much time."

You got that right!

"Sorry Master Gundark, I got a bit distracted...errr by the door..anyway I just wanted to know what it was you had in mind for me to do? Are you busy? I heard a blast in the background?" Sieri feels relief flow through her at finally being in contact with someone else.
"Should I break into some of the rooms or would it be better to leave the crew where they are for now?"

Mah (and Lance, I guess) slashed away at the door and entered the bridge.

Well, the moment the door falls away from your cutting the eight guys with guns waiting for it to open all fire at you at once... (you are too busy noticing that to get a good description of the bridge).

"Master Kellan, maybe we should turn-about and head for the bridge the way that the others went. We're being over-run here!" says Xeth. He deflects a few shots, then whips out his sonic blaster. He fires into the crowd of pirates. "...we could stand here and dispose of all these pirates!"

(I hope you aren't confusing what's happening with Mah and what's happening with yourself, BB!)

( I think BB is referring to the pirates we're dealing with in engineering)

"I think you're right, Xeth," Gundark shouted back at him. "Back the way we came...lets go."

With Lance blocking shots, Mah takes a few fast steps towards the pirates, also blocking, then jumps over them and behind and starts attacking with the lightsabre from there.

(I am afraid Gundy and BB withdrawing like that rules them out getting to this battle before it is over).

Not your day, Mah. Over-focussed on the pirates blasting away at you as you charge in, you are barely able to fend their shots off and concentrate on what you are doing. The pirate up on the balcony behind the doorway- who, judging by his dress, is the leader- gets a clear shot at you.

You jerk to one side instinctively but the shot shears into your leg. Lance is now occupied in making sure you aren't micnemeat.

Incidentally, the bridge has a low and high area, like the Star Destroyer bridges. You just entered the low area, with some 15 pirates around there. Another ten or so are in the higher area with a good field of fire down to you guys. They are armed with various small arms and grenades. No crew can be seen.

"Julie...get through to the bridge area. mah and Lance need your help," Gundark ordered. She fought while sprinting backwards, out of engineering.

Okidokey, Gundy and BB, you will have to 'co-ordinate' efforts for a while... it will be some time before you join the fray.

Gundark's eye caught the main power grid as she and Xeth tried to get back to the main passageway. She slashed at the grid with her sabre, hoping to give her companions on the bridge some cover.

You're lucky that doesn't work, Gundy, as the back-ups kick in... destroying main power would cut gravity and oxygen to the entire ship. I think you woul;d want to be a mite more surgical!
