These guys seem pretty athletic! They dive out the way.
They seem both male and female and each is armed with one of three things.
Some are armed with sleek blaster rifles. They take up position by the bnar and the left side of the room.
Some are armed with dual pistols. They advance, pistols raised.
And some are armed with electro-rods. These things are nasty, four-foot long rods with a constantly flaring charge at each side that will kill a being on contact. They rush in towards you.
Assuming the hover cars would stop shooting now that the ground forces had moved in, Kellan stuck her head up a little higher, deflecting laser fire with her sabre and Force-pulling lighting fixtures from overhead down onto the uniforms. The electro-rods did not appear to be set for stun. "Watch out," she shouted to her companions.
You would THINK Ascar would have heavy baroque fittings... sadly the only way these things will kill someone is if they choke to death on them.
They spilt up as they near you people, some heading down the steps to the museum and others heading towards reception. Each of you has at least four men with electr-rods approaching you- they are heading towards you at diagonals, not head on.
One, clearly a leader, now enters from tjose still coming in from the doors in the far corner.
Kellan decided she clearly did not want to be on the receiving end of the nasty-looking sticks pointed in her direciton. She leapt in a blur towards the nearest of the uniforms approaching her and mah and swung her sabre in a wide arc, intent on dissecting the electo-rods before they could turn her into toast.
Whilst even at your age you are faster than these people, Gundy, they leap back as you jump forwards, again showing great atheleticism. Your attackers pull away from you as you slash, and then close in again
They spin and twirl their weaponms and make short, fast, disciplines jabs. Your weapons both kill on contact but yours will destroy their on a parry, so they try not to engage you in prolonged combat.
BUT- with you moving your sabre to the diagonal to fend them off, you become vulnerable to the two men with two blasters each who fire- at great rapidity- towards your chest. And then THEY go low, ducking down, and two men at the back of the room with the rifles start taking accurate shots towards your head... you are seriously overwhelmed.
"You only answered one of my questions," Kellan called back. "We are representatives of the Jedi Order here on Republic business and I will ask you only once to pull back your people and clear the area." She studied the humming blade of her sabre, knowing fairly well what kind of an answer she was going to get.
"I understand," says the leader. He points his hand towards you again, and his men return to the attack, one group heading to the astrolabe whilst the others crowd around you guys again...
In reception, Fire and Xeth are now being swept-fired by the hover cars again. Another is firing at the upper part of the room that Mah and Sierri are in.
The push is good, Marcus. Their plan can't account for you using your powers so; you can push one of the electropole users to one side and get yourself into a better blocking position.
Xeth, one of the attackers leaps out your way but your blaster shot catches his side; he crashes to the ground, rolls, and lays still.
You have seen these people before, Xeth. They are warriors of the Order of Miramar, a very nasty group of Assassins who live out just beyond the Outer Rim. They are well-trained and deadly.
But also incredibly expensive to hire., You normally see them alone, maybe in groups of five or six. There must be at least fifty here!
They have clocked you as someone very dangerous now. FOUR men with electropoles crowd you, trying to draw out your guard so you can be shot down. Some of them twirl backwards when you try to slash at them.
Their leader (who is a rifle user, btw) runs forwards and executes a flying leap almost worthy of a Jedi, going over your head, Gundy, and landing near the Astrolabe. Four of them are now picking the artifact up.
Xeth and Marcus, you hold the escape route but you could not call it secure, even if the lift was back. SOMETHING needs to be done about those damn hover cars!
