USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Dark Side area

That means climbing some stairs...

Rex, was your character ever a Jedi?

(Not really. Me and Lance set it so that I killed his Master when Lance was still a Padawan and I was still on Hoth. Then I learned the Dark-side through a wounded Dark Jedi on Tatooine, and so on...)

Gald climbs the stairs, but quickly asks the Gran if she could show him around.

Oh, she's on the desk, it's a public balcony so there's not much to it...

You emerge into a very large sword fighting dojo, where Grans and humans using wooden practice swords and wearing protective gear are vigorously practing against each other, down in the main room below.

Something makes you uneasy... maybe it's the enormous Jedi symbols up around here.

Galder sees the symbol of the Jedi and frowns. Then he walks back to the front desk. "Is Teshan a Jedi by any chance?" he asks.

She smiles.

"No," she says, "but he used to be a civilian instructor at the Jedi Temple- he helped teach the young kids. He retired and came here to open this place! Him being an ex-Jedi instructor is rather good publicity, see. Interested? He's a great teacher!"

(sorry for the delay....i'll try to fill in my blank spots)
Through the whole discussion between Kuylen and galder, Takuan sat on a nearby wall looking distant but still somehow paying attention. He only Looked at what pilot guy pulled through and was a bit surprised but not showing it in any way. He goues to the dojo with galder and i assume he was there with him all along but sofar letting him do all the talking. He remained looking at the students practising while gald went to the desk. Takuan liked watching them.....it reminded him of something.

Ok...

After a while Takuan joins gald at the desk. "do you have any ideea where we can find him?" he asks politely. (assuming he's not there with the students)

"Oh, cool. I could take a few pointers in dueling and swordplay. How much to lessons cost, if there is a cost?" asks Galder, relieved that Teshan was not a Jedi.

"Oh, he's teaching right now," says the receptionist

Yup, there is a cost, Galder; problem is you have to pay by account. This is a problem for you, because as a notorious renegade you don't actually have a recognised bank account, just cash. So actually joining this place would be hard. Might also provide a means by which you could be traced, if anyone was looking hard.

But you can feel free to look around.

Incidentally, either Teshan must have a rich family or the Jedi must have paid him a fortune, to be able to build this place.

You doubt the Jedi paid him well.

"Thank you. I'm a little low on credits, so maybe later," he says.

"Do you have any idea where Teshan is teaching at? I would like to watch."

"He'll be in the middle of the dojo," she says. "You can see it from the visitor's balcony."

"Okay, thank you..." says Gald, who then walks back up to the balcony. He looks into the very center of the massive dojo, looking for Teshan.

Takuan already there glases at the students and teshan walking around between them.

Quam had stayed behind with Kuylen, he had listened on to their plans. "There may be an alternative route we may venture on, Kuylen." Quam spoke softly. "Skeletons in his closet might be one weakness, but there is another.... his love for ancient Jedi and Sith artefacts..." Quam turned slowly away from Kuylen. "And we have some of those.... don't we? Some he has never ever seen before..."

"We tried that already," says Kuylen. "He says we are too dangerous to deal with any longer. I think we might have exhausted that route. If we COULD find something he needed, then we might just be able to deal with him... but even the prospect of artifacts from the Mausoleum didn't seem enough to turn him around."

-

Galder and Takuan, it is hard to identify Teshan because everyone is wearing Kendo-style protective gear, even with the wooden practice swords. But two people are duelling in the middle right now- Galder, you know all about swordfighting; that's one young fast guy duelling an older and more skilled one.

Is anyone trying to gather information about this place in any other way?

Takuan stares at the duel for another few moments. He's aware how deadly even wooden swords are if weilded propperly ( see musashi )
He then asks Gald: "should we talk to him?"

(You'd look a bit conspicuous clambering over the visitor's balcony and dropping into the traning area like that...)

(Good thing you said that. I was thinking about that yesterday...)

"Maybe we can walk into the dojo through the door downstairs. If someone tries to stop us...a wave of the hand will let us pass," says Gald with a devious smile.

Well, feel free to try what you like! I just point out the difficulties.

One of the combatants takes off his mask, only to reveal another underneath; some sort of breathing apparatus, you think.
