USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Dark Side area

"A murder?" asks Kuylen, interested. "Very well." He gives you a place downtown to meet him at in 15 minutes. "Keep this channel closed until we meet. Kuylen out."

"Galder out," says Galder, and closes the channel.

Does anyone have any other plans before meeting back up with Kuylen? Or any theories as to what is going on on this planet?

I think Persis might have Force potential, since he shrugged off the Force pull with ease.

Maybe he just has a tight grip... Rura is not very powerful yet...

Okay, nevermind then. 😄

Okay, I hail a taxi and go to the meeting place.

Still... as you think on the way... the whole Persis thing bugs you. You just don't get it; he seems an independant and powerful man, all those security men are his own, he certainly does not like to submit to authority... yet he seems to have to defer to Ascar. What IS it that makes him want to work FOR a man rather than head his own organisation?

He was damn fast as well.

Very odd indeed... thinks Galder.

The taxi drives past the dojo. I wonder if I could get a better look at the body now...the crowd seems to have gone.

Worth bearing in mind...

You soon find Kuylen at the rendezvous. Chion and pilot guy are with him.

"Galder," he says, with a nod, and he similarly greets any others who have come with you.

"Ok, tell me what you think of things, then."

"Pretty odd," says Galder. "It couldn't have been you, Kuylen, or the other two here because that would go against your orders. And Jedi Knights certainly don't hack people in half in alleyways," says Galder uneasily. "Also, I went back to Ascar's to chat with Quam about it, and...uh...I barged in because they wouldn't let me talk with Quam, so Persis brought his arms to bear, and Rura tried to pull the blaster from him with the Force. Persis shrugged it off like the pilot guy shrugged off my Force choke. Rura was shot, but he'll live."

"I was thinking of going back to see if I could get a better view of the body, since there was quite a crowd when I looked at it, and cops were everywhere, so I only caught a quick look. Does that sound like the thing to do right now?"

Kuylen does not look 100% pleased.

"So now Ascar has Rura? And you think that would make our position STRONGER, did you? I'm warning you, Galder, no risks will be taken to save his life. I will not allow him to be used as a hostage; he is of no value to me now

"I warned you about using force against Ascar. His position is more secure than it looks, though he gets moody if I tell anyone why. Though it seems Persis isn't hiding things as well as he used to, so Ascar can hardly blame me for speaking about that. He is indeed trained with the Force; he is most likely our killer as well. He uses the dojo to train himself- with an ex-Jedi instructor doing the teaching there, it's a way for him to get around having no teacher. You never knew Teshan, did you?"

"Nope, I've never even been in the Jedi Temple, remember?" says Galder. "I was trained by Pazol on Tatooine after I left Hoth..."

"But that's not the point! Why would Persis kill an innocent student at the dojo? Seems too strange...speaking of strange, the cops around the scene of the crime seemed very odd. They left everything as they had found it: the body, his wooden training sword, and everything else," says Galder.

"I would like to get a closer look at the body, due to curiousity. There could be other evidence there that we could use against Ascar."

"Take me there," says Kuylen. "We will take a quick look. But it must be said, Persis may need no reason to kill anyone. He is that sort of man."

"Geez, what an idiot..." Galder mutters, then hops into the speeder taxi.

Quam had just finished viewing the data discs he took from Ascar's office. The fancy clothes were gone, just the deep black robes that hid any feature of body shape or weaponry from the eye.
He quickly sent off a message to Kuylen and Galder: "Hello folks.... guess who killed your alley corpse?"

"We already have a very good guess..." says Galder. "Persis, that asshole bodyguard. He's Force sensitive and he's got a lightsaber. He trains at the dojo that me and Takuan were checking out. Since Teshan is an ex-Jedi trainer, he's sure to be pretty good."

The disks carry a lot of information about Ascar's dealings with none other than Shareth the Hutt. He has a very sweet gambling deal going on with her. They don;t have anything about the murder, though.

You arrive at your destination. "I'll have to stay back," says Kuylen. "Teshan can identify me."

"Okay, I'll go take a look," says Galder. He puts on a black robe over his clothes (black shirt, black pants with a Corellian bloodstripe, and a leather jacket) and raises the hood, and gets out of the taxi. He walks into the dojo...
