USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Dark Side area

The pod isn't here, Dexx- Majora said she was moving it somewhere more safe.

"Did you observe any other obvious ways up or down?" asks Nayler.

"So...we have an army. That's good," Galder whispers to Takuan.

He turns to Nayler. "Well, I think there is another lift that Takuan took to here to avoid the Jedi earlier. Takuan can show you that."

"But first, can I be a General or something? I always wanted to lead a bunch of dangerous warriors..."

Nayler happily acknowledges the presence of the secret lift, but stays rather quiet about you being a general.

"We will take some time here to organise our plan. When we have one, we will call you back."

SO where do i find the pod.
" i hope Ascar will keep is end of the bargain and forced entries won't necessary. Though we can't be to safe. The back elevator is an option though you can't get there without being seen. Without the hekp of one of us that is." says Takuan to nayler

"We don't need to know how to get in," says Nayler. "Just how many ways there are for people to get OUT..."

Ok, you two have the call from Majora, with the location of the warehouse she has moved the pod to.

"Okay, you take care of things here. We'll be checking out the podracer," says Galder, and hails a taxi so they can go to the new location.

After getting off the cab they head towards the warehouse...

Right, Majora has the pod in here for you. She is just about to talk you through things when her com beeper goes off. She listens to a quick message.

"Damn," she says. "The Jedi are returning to Ascar's I need to go and try to slow them down." She points to some paperwork on a nearby table. "Your accreditation for the race, and the rules. It's all there. Just turn up tomorrow and you are in. Catch you later!"

Majora scoots off, leaving you with this double-pronged brown thingy they call a 'pod'. Looks like it might explode if you turn it on.

Takuan moves closer to the pod and the paperwork. "if it works, i'll do my best" he says to Gald. Then he moves towards filling those papers

Ok, some things to remember:

The pod race is a three lap job just like the one in TPM. However, this is the Republic, not Hutt space. It is much more regulated; there is little question of offensive weapons (save some bumper-like spikes). Deaths are far more rare, and normally not the result of attacks.

There will be some eight or nine competitors in all.

oki. i'm not worried about being killed but by dying of my own bad piloting🙂. Let's hope not.

Takuan finishes filling the paperwork.

As to who is the pilot... that is tough. Takuan has better instincts but Galder is more skilled at driving something like this. Your choice!

(NOT AGAIN, you know the explanation... 😠 )

Sure do! Now, apart from choosing the pilot, you can also between the two of you (and a LOT of effort) tinker around with the pod. Right now, it is quite fast. You could change it so that, instead, it is either maneovrable or has good traction.

"What a piece of junk!" exclaims Galder.

He hops in the podracer and looks over the controls. "I think I'll be driving. I'm more familiar with this stuff. I raced on Ord Ibanna once. I came in fourth place out of five though. The podracer was rather clicky*..."

Galder powers up and revs the engines.

(I found a Podracer Slang dictionary for this. I'm gonna call a few people 'slimeball' while going through a 'gundark' 😄 )

Oooh. Are you minded to tinker, or do you just want to leave it at fast?

(so how will we settle this? 🙂 )

Ah, gee! C'mon guys, I want to get this sorted today. If there is nothing decided by this evening I will assume it is Galder racing in a fast pod.

(but that means time is against me.....let's see. We can't flip a coin now can we? Another thing..dunno)

I think it should be.... Chion! No no, that's silly... mind you, you have lost track of El Fatto himself, which is always worrying. Tricky guy, Chion.

Galder is my default simply because he is your action man. If I HAVE to assign due to time reasons, he'd be the first on the list, similar to how I would assign Takuan to force-based or diplomatic jobs (mind you, this thread could do with a Quam replacement because you are missing a Fallen, who would be best at this sort of thing, AND the diplomatic stuff... both of you are specialists).

I prefer not to 'assign' at all, of course, but sadly we have the LS thread to think of and for the first time in the game they are waiting on you, now.
