Elizabeth. OH THE GUILT!!! LOL

There is something here that I think alot of people are missing..especially the W/E shippers 😂

In DMC Elizabeth Swann isn't feeling guilty because she has just traded a man's life to save her own and Will's

And She's not feeling guilty about the measures she went to, to achieve her goal.

Why? Because that is not in her pirate nature to care or feel guilty about petty things such as betrayals and unfaithfulness...(now as soon as you read this PLEASE dont decide not to read the rest of what I say..because I speak the truth)

Did anyone see her display ANY guilt for trading a mans life to save her own and Will's before?

So why is she suddenly so guilt filled and remorseful in movie 2 after doing exactly the same thing as before?

what is so different about these oh so similar betrayals?

THIS time she realizes she has betrayed a man she has very DEEP FEELINGS FOR.

that is the ONLY thing that is different!! and YES she has feelings for Jack..I don't see that as a "just friends lip graze" before she left him do you?

true true true. I totally agree I'm totally on the jack/li boat but I must say she didn't trade anyone's LIFE on the first movie like she did in the second. I mean in the second one she literally left jack to remove the temptation and as she wanted to make herself believe...save everyone.but in the first it wasn't a matter of life or death.

she may have done that...but she also did it to save her own life and Will's and ted elliot and terry (the writers have said this)

the fact is..Elizabeth was going to die of starvation on the island..So was Will in the hands of Barbossa and if she didnt take drastic measures on the island she would have never been able to save herself or him..so she betrays Jack..who will face the hangman's noose as soon as Norrington arrives..and she couldn't care LESS that she has just done this to him..and she couldn't care LESS that she went to some pretty far out lengths to betray Jack when she wants William..why becuase she is a PIRATE at heart

Jack would have probably used force on her to stop her ever burning the rum and the trees..so she had to "seduce him" to make him pass out..

But this time in movie 2 she shows guilt and remorse because she realizes she has very big feelings for the man she has just betrayed .and the litle almost kiss before she left shows us this..the fact she kept staring at his lips once she had kissed him showed us this..Jack Sparrow has got to this girl on a deep level and it's hit her like a TON OF BRICKS..by the end of movie 2..

she's becoming like Jack..she betrays people to save her own skin..but when its someone she loves??? OH MY its a weakness!

yeah agreed. but I'll kill myself if will and liz end up together! I mean it would be just so typical of disney to do that! I hope not but I mean why give us a taste of what really SHOULD be if they wanna rip it away from us and say it was only there cause they wanted to see liz/jack kiss?huh? Imean why take that away just to make a disney ending..sorry I'm just a little too psyched over this whole "what if they decide to make it a liz/will thing after all?"

I mean each time I saw the film the chemistry was like "no way liz and will are gonna last it's jack and liz FOR REAL" but when you listen to Ted and Terry they make you loose ALL HOPE. they make it sound like the kisswas all business!
I ask you this :couldn't have liz just flirted with jack intensly pushing him back to where the shackles where making it look like she was about to kiss him but actually just buy herself time to shackle jack up?

she wanted the kiss to happen! she WANTED a taste of being a pirate since she was little!!! she WAS curiouse and SHE WAS BEING LIKE JACK by saving her own skin at the expense of others(jack) but by using jack she doesn't BREAK IT between them she MAKES IT and jack knows it why else would he smile and go all "pirate" he knows that now she IS a pirate.

its a "weakness!" or some might actually see that as a "strength" when it comes to a pirate/pirate relationship..its the only way it would work between two pirates...they love eachother somuch that they CANT ever really leave the other to DIE!! and its exactly what Jack did when he came back for her in movie 2!!

yeah totally I hope Ted and Terry are just trying to send us off track cause when I listen to the interviews they do I wanna KILL them.

they make it sound like there is absolutely 0 good in jack sparrow and that the only way liz and jack will end up together is if the world comes to an end. augh!!!

Elizabeth is actually the perfect match forJack..

she's changing just like jack is changing with each movie..although Jack is slightly ahead....

I don't like how the script said "WRONGLY". he presumed WRONGLY that liz loves jack I hate that part

yeah thats the beggining where she is still in her denial/lust stage....and its the really low budget, early draft script..have you read the other draft script for PotC 1...some of the scenes are like WHA??..they had a whole theme going where Liz/Jack were flirting etc..it was really Jack/Liz orientated..

that little note there is completley different to the themes at the end of DMC

yeah I REALLY do have faith that jack and liz will be together if their don't ted and terry are mad!!!!!!

ted and terry are mad.... in many ways. they are writers. they cooked up the kiss, after all...

you have to wonder how they wrote it. like what their script said... "Elizabeth walks towards Jack and slowly kisses him. Jack is surprised... until he hears the clank of metal: she has chained him to the mast." and then the director was like, "seriously guys, this kiss has to smoke. forget the "slowly" business- i want you to go at it and release all that tension. got it?" hehehe. my point being, the writers are CRAZY if they dont see what they did by adding that kiss. lol.

I just need to mention again that in the early draft of the script for 1, the character of Captain Jack was completely different. He was noble-- a good man--- right from the beginning, and knew it, too. He actually sent Liz and Will ahead to safety while he fought the pirates in the cave. things like that. he was a much more obvious, disney-ish character.
then Depp shows up and brings that delightful rogue/complete wierdo to the role, and they had to change it. they had to re-write some stuff. they had to make Jack less obvious.

so with stuff they have written into three (and written in, might i add, before the second one was done filming) they might have had to change after seeing the way certain scenes played out in 2... after seeing what the director chose to focus on, and what the audience responded to. Granted, i dont think they would completely change their ending, but they may go back and add extra scenes or clear some things up.

this is a bit of side information: Remember in Lord of the Rings, when Aragorn and Eowynn totally have a thing going in the 2nd one, but then he pretty much dumps her 3rd film and goes back with Arwen? Yeah, they actually filmed a kiss between Aragorn and Eowynn that was supposed to go at the end of the 2nd film... but they ended up HAVING to cut it out, or people would have wanted Aragorn to end up with Eowynn...

AKA: a kiss is a powerful thing. dont stick one in your movie if its not going somewhere.

well yeah they did kiss in the first one but just compare the kisses which one was hotter?jack+liz...and kate is right the first draft WAS totally different he stayed behind and he asked for the right of parley but here we see the johnny depp :jack instead of the disney:jack he gets LEFT behind and says parsley instead of parley. so safe to say this isn't aTYPICAL disney movie if it was liz/will would TOTALLY be together that's how disney does it but with depp in the film they went in a TOTALLY different direction.

DAMN it where is that thing where Ted and Terry were actually talking about Liz being THE most selfish pirate in the movies?? and not showing ANY remorse when it comes to seducing and screwing over Will/Norrington..all of those people on the dauntess just so she could be with Will..and then in movie 2 she actually uncharacteristically shows remorse after her actions! because the man means so much to her..and NOT as a friend (scene on the pearl showed us THAT)..Norrington was her friend..but she never worried about pulling his heart out and samping on it for Will..but the SECOND after she does it to Jack again?? OH NO..she's totally taken with him...and it hits her like a ton of bricks at the end of DMC SMACK IN THE HEAD LIZ!! WAKEUP CALL!

Liz and Jack are so, SO similar its untrue..and the way they behave/react once they realize they have just left the one they love to die..explains it all..they would be a perfect long lasting pirate/pirate relationship..which I'm guessing is VERY rare 😂 The two cant BARE it when they have left the other one to die..so they wont be doing THAT again to eachother in a hurry..

I think she felt she could easily do it to Jack again in movie 2 cuz as usual..its Will and her who are "most important in a time of danger"..but BAM Jack totally takes her..and now she's feeling remorseful for doing that to him..which is something she never does with her decisions when it comes to her and Will over someone else..this was her moment where she SLIPPED UP and didn't think before she took that leap....Will's turn next..I'm wondering if she was put in a situation where she had to save Will or Jack after this little event..who would it be?? Something tells me it WONT be Jack again..not after how CRAPPY it made her feel..she WAS NOT thinking of Will there when she was crying..she ALWAYS seduces other men to get her way when it comes to herself and Will..and she NEVER cares about how that is so dishonest to Will.cuz she's a PIRATE 😂

this is one of my theories that people don't seem to be understanding all that much at the moment..but I have a feeling its one of those ones that REALLY is true to the story..(like my material possessions one that no one got at first..but turns out to be pretty true lol)

The fact that JACKS reaction was so differnt this time totally caught her too..look at her face when she see's he's not angry this time.hes making it all the more harder for her to leave..when the are angry..its how she likes it..because it makes it all the more easier for her to leave them hanging..but NOPE jack is perfectly happy and he's showing that HE still wants her even AFTER she did that to him...and it shocks her so much..

...when they are angry at her..it means they hate her..so she finds it easier to leave em for dead..but Jack?? no no he stil wants you Lizzie..and her FACE when she saw him say "pirate" with such pride lmao..
