Hal thinks at the speed of thought added the time the ring needs to take effect telepathy is abit faster

if this is just normal Hal GL then he goes down. Several x-men on that list take him out by themselves. I like Hal In fact he is one of my favorate if not my favorate comic hero. However that power is too much.

Professor X, Nightcrawler, Polaris could do this by themselves .

Polaris could distract Jordan by making the rig try to come off his finger (if Dr. Polaris could do it so can she), Professor X would get into his head making him hesitate, and Nightcrawler would just "port his hand(s) off.
