If you're talking about the Academy Awards where Johnny was nominated, I think he did lose to Sean Penn, whose credits include Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I Am Sam, The Falcon and the Snowman, Mystic River....uh, The Interpretor. Maybe those will ring some bells
