Well, the fact that he turns into a lap dog in ROTJ I kinda like... it shows the power of the Emperor. But why Vader takes a lot of shit from Tarkin is beyond me. He appears lower in position than any of the Sith Lords before him... even after 20 years of loyal and brutal service.

Leia ot Tarkin: "I should have expected you to be holding Vader's leash." Perhaps Tarkin just has that type of personality...someone Anakin respects. Tarkin is an administratior. I consider Vader more like a General...more in charge of the enforcement.

Anyway, there's a 19 year gap. Tarkin was in the service of the Republic, so there's lots of room for things to happen.

Sounds like more bondage to me, maybe GL shouldnt of left such a gap without any really explanation

I get the impression that Vader was only able to have full power because Tarkin was killed in the Death Star. Imagine if he was not killed, we would still see Vader subordinated to Tarkin. So much for ruling the galaxy.

Even my little sister when watching ANH said, "how come Vader seem to be afraid of that guy (Tarkin)?"

That brings me to a question how the hell can they get that leather outfit on him if they strap him down. Ive tried it myself and just cant do it 😮

As for the Leia bikini never been a big fan, I prefered the white no bra outfit mmmmmmmm 😉
