whats your favorite war movie?

Apocalypse Now is probably my favourite.

Though Jarhead is up there for me.. it showed a different aspect to war than other films of the genre.

for sheer virtuosity, saving private ryan. people were shitting their pants about the children of men cinematography, when the best sequences were just diet versions of saving private ryan.

Saving Private Ryan, awesome. I haven't seen Flags of our Fathers yet, but I think it will be good.

It amazes me that nobody ever mentions Flight of The Intruder when discussing favorite war movies. Its not near as well known as the classics like Platton Apocalypse Now and Full Meatl Jacket so people usually dont think of it.I myself forgot to mention that movie for a long time when these discussions about favorite war movies came up because it never gets mentioned.Took me a long time to remember that film since it did not do well at the box office. You all should see it.I think it is easily by far maybe not the best one.theres lots fo really good ones, but its by far the most EXCITING one in my opinion and very well done.

Band of brothers is my favorite ware movie series depiction.

The deer hunter and BOFJ are probably the most succesfull in the way of highlighting the effects that war can have on an individual.

Troy and braveheart are my favorite historical fantastical war flicks

Empire of the sun is also up there on my list aswell

mine is saving private ryan

Saving Private Ryan

Glory

Saving Private Ryan is the best.

Enemy at the Gates is pretty good too.

Saving Private Ryan is definitely my favorite. But recently I watched Apocalypse Now, and it was amazing, to say the least. Other favorites of mine are Jarhead, Platoon, and Full Metal Jacket. Jarhead isnt as good as the others, but I like its unique approach

I Can't just pick one there is so many like Imagine, The Us V.S John Lennon, Walk The Line, Breakfast Club, Stand By Me, Rent, Hard Day's Night, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Edward Scissors Hands, Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Producers and Down to Earth.

Apocalypse Now...if you see it as war movie

Of course it is

... None of those are war movies just to let you know.

Sorry if I've disappointed you.

No doubt it would be saving private Ryan for me, sheer genius

There was a point in my life (round about when i was 14 years old) where I was addicted to watching all the war movies, I think it was when medal of Honor first hit the PS2.

Other favourites would be Apocalypse Now, Pearl Harbour and Windtalkers

Also I haven't heard Windtalkers or Perl Harbour being mentioned, people love to diss Pearl Harbour but for me I found it very entertaining....barr the love story 😒

Platoon
Saving Private Ryan

Of course it is

More of a journey set in a war torn environment.

Meaning it is, essentially, still a war movie. To suggest otherwise would be a bit ridiculous.

Thin Red Line

Love this movie. Gets better every time!
