Heaven and Earth (Kensuke vs Takeda Shingen) ,Ran ( age of Sengoku-Jedai)

Im going to go with Saving Private Ryan for its entertainment value.

'A Bridge too Far' for me. A real tear jerker with a diamond studded cast.

It's hard to pick one but my favorites are The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket and Der Untergang, if it is cosidered a war movie.

Private Ryan
BraveHeart

braveheart or 300...

braveheart

such a hard choice gahh, i loved 300, spr, but i think my favorite still (if its considered a "movie" persay) would be band of brothers

I'm weak and weary from pondering this one.

Vietnam War: Full Metal Jacket

Cold War: K-19: The Widowmaker

Civil War (USA): Glory

WWI: Paths of Glory

WWII: Windtalkers

It was tough, and I'd have to rewatch fifty some-odd movies to be certain. Nice topic, though.

"A Bridge too Far"

"Kelly's Heroes"

"Patton"

"Apocalypse Now"

"The Longest Day"

"The Big Red One" - Restored version

"Sink the Bismark"

"Went the Day Well"

"The Eagle has Landed"

"Black Hawk Down"

I think Pearl Harbor is fantastic!
I also enjoyed War of the Worlds, haha.

My favorite war movies are:

WE WERE SOLDIER
PEARL HARBOR

Star Wars 131
