What an amazing episode. And for the first time in ages I felt actual tension! I didn't feel shit when Dexter was tied up on a 8oat in a ring of fire, but this somehow made me feel again. This was seriously a good 3 seasons of plot armor rubber-banded back into or8it at light speed. Not 8ad for a first episode.
I'm really glad they got that question at the end of the episode out of the way. I was scared they were gonna pussyfoot around it all season, leave it for the finale. And I think this is the first time anyone has said Doakes' name since season 2. The show has a tendency to forget people who mattered (Doakes, Miguel, Lila, the Skinner etc.).

What I want to know know is whats next? Where do you go from here? Dex is in serious shit. He was very sloppy this ep. Laguerta is on his tail, De8 will be up his ass constantly, and always on edge potentially spilling the 8eans and 8y the looks of it he's going to have the mafia on his ass. All they have to do is watch the video tape of Dexter wheeling their man around that airport like a fvcking moron.
I really think he might be exposed at seasons end. Next season will 8e him on the run, possi8ly with De8 having to hunt him down.
I wonder what Laguerta has in mind. Why would she take the blood slide? Also wonder how mafia guy will know it was Dexter. I thought he was careful in the airport. The end of the episode was the way to go. Isn't Deb an accessory already for covering the church? If she talks there goes her career and she faces jail time.
I really liked the scenes where Deb was asking Dexter about things and when Dexter was explaining himself to her and about the code.
I really hope they do the scene where Dexter talks about all the serial killers he's stopped. It would be awesome to see him talking about the Ice Truck Killer and Trinity and have her react. I also hope they call back to her letting him and Lumen go at the end of season 5. I was also waiting for him to come clean about killing Mike's murderer all episode. C'mon Dex, don't be a douche. Tell Deb so she can stop wasting manpower on that thing.

I hope the Laguerta stuff goes somewhere good. Having her looking for the BHB in the department would be fvcking awesome. Deb would have to help Dex cover it up, maybe she slips, it starts to look like her.... So much promise there.
The Dexter/Deb scenes continue to be the Best Thing Ever. I really like how Dexter didn't bullshit around trying to hide it from her anymore and instead just calmly explained it to her. It was mature and subtle. Also: Lizard brain. Lol. Pretty sure that ones straight from the novels. Maybe one of the writers decided to pick them up finally. I don't know why, but this season is feeling much more like the first one, which is nice, because that's still the best season imo.
Its kind of odd to see Angel talking about quitting. With Mike gone and Quinn at considerable risk (imo), could Miami be out of detectives soon? Either way, Deb needs to find a replacement for Mike, but she probably won't until next season.
Louis was lame and **** and went out lame as ****. An utterly incompetent plot line. I laughed when even Dexter admitted how petty and beneath him Louis was. Urgh, what a ****ing joke.
Minotaur-guy was cool and creepy.
