It's why I liked the first few episodes where Dexter was acting pretty creepy and manipulative and Deb was questioning him.
I liked his quirky inner statements like:
I miss lines like that. They're part of what got me interested in the show to begin with.
I dunno, there was plenty of lame in this episode. Like that one plotline I'd hoped they'd avoid like the plague.
This season feels very directionless. Theres no endgoal in sight and no central plot. It makes me feel very disconnected. The first 4 episodes were fantastic, but now I think its gone off the rails.
I can't believe that Laguerta is the one single plotline thats really interesting, but nothings coming from it. This had better lead to something.
Edit: That talk with Isaak at the end was excellent though.
It feels like they wrote one long season, and then divided it in two--this being the first half. But they've introduced every major plot thread at once and don't know how to juggle them all. Laguerta's is the one storyline I'm looking forward to (for the first time ever), and I think they're gonna be saving that for the finale and season 8.

I think you are right on the Money.
(A cliffhanger ending the way they are currently doing Breaking Bad!)
