That is the problem with GIF's you can't get a clean cut.

I know. But you don't need to save it as .gif. KMC does it anyway. Save it as .jpg...

However JPG doesn’t support transparency, which is one of the good/bad of using transparency in sigs. Once everyone moves up to IE 7 then I can start to use PNG 24 and then it will be a world of difference.

You don't have to. I told you. Save it as .jpg and then upload it to KMC. You'll see what I mean.
After you've done it save the uploaded pic beneath your name it will be .gif and it will be transparent.

I know that KMC changes any file format to a GIF but the JPG format doesn’t support the transparency and will drop in a background color once it is saved. Just in case KMC drops the background I just tested it and it doesn’t drop the background color.

Yeah...multiple images are tough to pull off well unless you have an absolutely awesome design, or something else to balance them better than normal.
