What? Wait, now I pulled this off of Wiki...

"Gold Kryptonite: Removes superpowers from Kryptonians permanently; however, in one story, a temporary antidote was developed that negated this effect for a short period of time. For obvious reasons, this variety was little used in Superman stories. It played key roles in the 1982 limited series "The Phantom Zone", as well as in two noncanonical stories, namely the 1986 tale Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?, and later in the Superman & Batman: Generations stories. Additionally, it appeared briefly in the post-Crisis DC Universe, when Superman used it on a trio of Kryptonian criminals while visiting the Pocket Universe (Adventures of Superman #444, Superman (2nd series) #22). Gold Kryponite also made an appearance in The Flash #175 when Superman and the Flash had to race to the end of the universe. As cited in World's Finest Comics #159 (1966), Gold Kryptonite has an effective range of two feet. In the mainstream post-Crisis DC universe, it appears that it has once caused Superman to age at an accelerated rate; however, it is not confirmed if this is true of all Gold Kryptonite because this version was presumably created by the time traveller Gog."

So did it actually NOT appear in issue #444?

Well neither has "Superman that can shit out galaxies" either but everyone wants to use him.......

Well, maybe that issue was or wasn't really gold kryptonite but, that does show that it can exist somewhere in the post crisis DCU. And if it CAN exist the Cosmic Spiderman CAN make it!!!

No, I meant THIS part...

Not the Gog instance.

Read what you just posted.

It was from a pocket universe. A snippet of a precrisis universe (where it existed) had some. That universe is destroyed and that kryptonite did not affect our Superman anyway.

Too bad he'll be knocked the F*** out from something far easier.

Good simple physical force.

Oh, my bad(I seriously didn't notice that).

But what about the Gog instance?

The GOG kryptonite was something else altogether. It may have been magic + science.

It didn't remove his powers either, it just accelearated his aging that time, but for the most part was fairly unpredictable.

Live in Denial all you want CS still makes Superman his ***** after using Gold Kryptonite
Hell even without it he stands a better chance of holding his own than DC or any Superman worshiper will ever admit!!!

I don't think he could beat him without kryptonite or magic but i DO think he could at the VERY LEAST come VERY CLOSE to a stalemate.

Cosmic Spiderman wins because he is cooler.😛

No, seriously, if all his powers are augmented 50 times, he could forsee the dangers of the whole fight with his spider sense, before the battle even began. In short, Cosmic Spidey has built in prep time.

Yes it MAY have been. But unless it's been established that it WAS, then we can't assume that it was anything other than the current DC's version of gold kryptonite.

And even if it just rapidly aged him, aging to death while trapped in a box would still count as a win for CS.

LOL.

Kick, Punch, it's all in the mind.

50x spidey is still 100x weaker than Supes in strength, durability, speed...etc.

Using the strongest version of modern Supes...Spidey gets crushed.
No ways around it.

There is no guarantee that Kryptonite could be recreated by Spidey considering Gogs nature. You're definitely reaching.

It took quite a while for that to take effect and even while aging Superman was fighting Preus, Doomsday, and multiple GOGS. All guys that would kick Spidey's ass as well.

Plus the speed, durability, power, T-vo, etc that Supes brings to the table.

Let's see...intricate plan that might work, or a quick Super kO punch that WILL work.

I know what I side with.

Spiderman doesn't need his physicality no more than Surfer does. He just needs his versatility of powers to allow him to take tactical advantage of Supes biology.

Are you saying he'd transmutate Superman?

Makes no difference when Supes exhibits just as much versatiliy, and has proven stats that are much higher than Spideys.

You did see the scan that Mr Master posted right? CU was taken out fairly easily by a Nova blast. I'd say a physical body is quite necessary for Mr. Parker.

He doesn't have to even do anything to "him", but more or less any number of things that Supes is suspectible to. Should be way more within his range of powers by specifications of this thread.

Unfortunately I can't guage just how much he can absorb, I would argue absorbing the sun. Superman has absolutely no counter for this. His only hope is to try and prevent it from happening. Since Surfer can absorb other types of energy, whereas Superman cant as the battle drags on- Superman will inevitibly lose. As can be seen in the Final Night series. The Sun was being eaten away, and was blocked from shining any light. By the end of the series Superman had nothing left.

Him doing that might be speculation or just out of his character, though Cosmic Spiderman was a bit ruthless though.

He hasn't proven anything because what Spiderman is fully capable of is Speculation. Superman isn't more powerful than full knowledge of cosmic energy either. It's easy to use one low showing to aid your argument. Especially when the character has very few showings.

It's easy when Supes has beaten plenty of characters with C. Spideys powerset on higher levels.

If Spidey has such few showings...then why are you debating him?

Superman can absorb other energies besides yellow sun radiation. He absorbed bio-energy, and also absorbed the Mageddon warhead.
