are you happy now disgust|John returned home feeling pleased with the work he had accomplished not only had he finished his novel he had gotten the number of the sexy woman whom he had held the door open for in the coffee shop. He decided to give it a few days and call her on thursday and if he was lucky get a date for friday.
Thursday came uneventfully for John and he awoke refreshed and hopeful this being the day he could call Andrea, the woman he had met at the coffee shop.He took the piece of paper off the night stand and dialed the number 401 557 9876 and listened to it ring 3 times until a voice picked up.
-"Hello?"
-"Hello Andrea?"
-"yes..."
-"hi its john, we met at the coffee shop the other day..."
-"ah yes John, i was beginning to wonder if you would call."
-"Yea ive been busy" he lied. "Well anyway i was just calling to see if you’d maybe like to go to dinner with me tomorrow night?
-""sure i'd love to!, pick me up at my place around 7.
John was excited by the apparent excitment in her voice and readily agreed.
-"See you tomorrow then"
"I look forward to it" and the call was ended. At 6:50 the next evening John arrived at Andreas house and beeped his horn, She exited from the front door and John could help but stare as she walked down the walkway to his car. She looked even more beautiful then the day he met her which at the time he didn’t think was possible but apparently it was. Her auburn hair was in a tight bun and a necklace of pearls encircled her neck only adding to the appeal her black strapless dress presented. She got in the passenger seat and off they went. They sat to dinner at an upscale restaurant on the outskirts of town and chatted getting to know each other. She was a model although she aspired to be an actress. They enjoyed a pleasant dinner and John drove her home and walked her to the door giving her a quick kiss before they parted ways. Feeling ecstatic John got in his car and drove home.
Over the next few weeka John and Andrea continued seeing each other and became increasingly close. One morning John was awakened by his phone ringing, he looked at the clock and was surprised to see he had slept in well past noontime. He answered the call and was greeted by Andrea’s gentle voice on the other end.
“Hi John I had a really great time last night”
“I did too”
“Would you like to do something tonight?”
“you know the answer to that sweetheart”
“7 sound good?”
“Ill be there”John arrived outside Andreas house slight before 7 and beeped the horn. After several seconds he beeped again. Shes probably still getting read he thought to himself and shut off the engine and leaned back in the seat all the while flipping through the radio stations. He settled on one playing one of his favorite songs Im just sitting in my car and waiting for my girl… “exactly” he thought to himself, it was so unlike her to be late. John pulled out his cell phone and called her number, she answered simply by saying “Im still getting ready babe cmon inside.”
John got out of his car and locked the doors. He walked up the walkway and entered the house. “Andrea?” he called out getting no response. He walked through the foyer and into the hallway ad upon entering all the lights went dark. “Great” he thought to himself “now I have no lights and I don’t know my way around this house at all” groping for the walls John found his way into what he thought he recalled was the kitchen when he felt something brush past his feet. He straightened up remembering Andrea had cats. He slowly walked forward and stopped again, this time hearing what he sounded like footsteps from somewhere to his left. He listened carefully and hear nothing. “Andrea?” he called out again and was greeted with no response once again. Suddenly he felt a chill run down his spine and a breath of ice cold air on his neck, he whipped around and found himself face to face with Andrea, the lights flickered and he caught glimpses of her face, but this was not the face of the Andrea he knew, this Andrea was pale and vicious looking. “Tell me you love me” she croaked out, “I love you Andrea” well then that’s too bad. The light flicked on to shower the gleam of silver and suddenly they went out and al went quiet except for a dull thump in the darkness.
Happy indeedy!

The Kingston family lived in the only house on Pine street on the edge of town. Mr. and Mrs Tucker both had jobs in town and theyre only son Tucker was going to bed a senior in the local high school once school was back in session. The land on either side of the Kingston residence had been on sale for years yet no one had ever showed and interest in it. It remained vacant for yers accumlating brush and grasses on the lot.
On a scorching say in early July Tucker woke up to the sound of a car coming up the street. He looked outside just in time to see someone pull away from the vacant lot. As he watched the drive off he saw that there was a sold sign on the sign indicitation the lot next to his house. At dinner that night he mentioned it to his parents,
-"hey, i saw they sold the lot next door"
-"yea" his father eplied "i heard theres a family moving in from georgia, as far as i know they have a daughter names Kristy whos in your year, i was hoping when they arrived you could show her aound town"
-yea sure i can
-great.
Tucker watched day by day as the house was built, waiting for the arrival of Kristy and the rest of the jackson family. Finally they arrived. Tucker woke up and peered out his window as he had been doing for severl days now and saw the moving truck parked outside the newly constructed house. He showered, dressed and went out to meet the new neighbors. As he walked up there was only a man outside. HE strolled up an extended his hand:
-"hello you must be Mr. jackson."
-"Yes i am, who might you be?"
-"My name is Tucker Kingston im your neighbor"
-"Nice to meet you tucker" Mr Jackson signaled to his family to come over. Kristy, Sarah, this is Tucker hes our new neighbor"
-"Nice to meet both of you"
Julie and David went back to work and left Tucker and Kristy together, They looked awkwardly at each other, Tucker spoke first,
-"so what do you think of town?"
-"well i havent seen much of it but it seems ok...i guess"
-"my father suggested i show you around town, would you be interested?"
-Yes that would be very kind of you, does 6 sound good?
-"that sounds fine, ill see you later then"
Tucker walked back towards his house turning to look at Kristy as he walked away, their eyes met briefly and he snapped his head back around hoping she didnt notie him blush.
Around 6 Tucker walked over to Kristy's house and rang the bell, she came out and they left in Tuckers car for a drive around town. He showed her the school, the movie theatre, where to eat and anything else he could think of about the town hed lived in all his life. they returned home around 9 and returned to their respective homes. Tucker laid in bed that night before falling asleep and thought about his new neighbors. Meanwhile Kristy was sittng at her desk attempting to record the day in her journal but found herself thinking more and more about Tucker, the cute guy next door.
The next day as Tucker was getting ready to leave for work he heard a knock on the door. He opened it and was surprised to see Kristy standing on the stoop. "Well hello kristy, please come in"
He beckoned her into the living room and they sat down. Kristy spoke first this time
- "Look Tucker i was thinking last night, maybe this is a little forward or way too forward, but would you like to do something wiht me friday night?"
-Id love to Kristy replied Tucker all the while wondering how he could be so lucky.
Tucker went to work feeling on top of the world. Over the course of the next few weeks the pair dated and became attached at the hip, no one ever saw the one without the other right beside. On a Saturday night after a date with Tucker Kristy wrote in her journal simply "I tihnk i love him"
The school year progressed without incident. Tucker and Kristy became closer if that was possible. Both were applying to colleges and it was a hectic year but they got through it. The pair passed their final exams and prepared for their second summer together. Tcuker awoke the day after school had ended to find his parents still home. He wandered dowstairs and found them sitting at the table,=.
-"Sit Tucker" they said in unison
His father spoker first "Tucker your mother and I have been offered a job in California. Weve accepted, we leave in a week."
_"But wht-!" tucker started to object but was silenced
-"Its already been decided i suggest you start packing"
Tucker pounded up the stairs and slammed his door. He looked out the window at Kristy's house and thought of her, she and her family were on vacation in Maine for the week. how he loved her he though to himself. He took out a pen and paper and began to write.
His parents were driving the moving truck while he drove the car.
-"One more minute Dad"
Tucker walked up the the Jackson's door and taped an envelope there and alked back to his car and backed out of the driveway and onto the street.
Kristy came home from vacation less than an hour later and saw an envelope on her front door with her name on the front. She took it to her room and opened it and pulled out a sheet of paper and read what was upon it
"Kristy, my parents have taken a job in California, and I have dcided to accompany them and attend school there. Im sorry i could not deliver this in person but i would only have broken my heart even moreso than it has already been broken. Love Always <3 Tucker
Kristy jumped formher seat grabbed her keys and ran out the door.
"Kristy!" her parents called after her but she didnt not stop. She arrived at the airport and ran through the terminal arriving at the gate just as the plane pushed back from it. She ran to the glass and pressed her face against it feeling the cold surface drain all the heat from her body. She watched until the plan taxied down the runway and was lifted into the air. She crumbled to her knees and sank against the glass with her head in her hands and wept until the sun went down.
