My non-jovial answer would be that this is music you like, it's part of you. Why would you share this music with them and make it less special? It's something unique for you.

hmm...yeah...that makes sense and very accurate an analyzing too. i often say that music is my therapy. and it is. its very personal and if someone who looks at my tastes with a sharp enough eye, what i am as a person is pretty much exposed. 😬

so yes. i get all protective and secretive about my most fav. muzzik. 😕
