Because sound doesn't require being heard to exist. And even if you were right, there are thousands of birds, insects and other animals who would be around to hear it.

As for what I do in college, I'm on the executive board of two political organizations (College Democrats and Student for Hillary Clinton), I'm an Assistant Director for Comedy on the Union Board, and I'm running for Congress in the Student Association. Also, I'm a political science major
