i think you may be thinking of David Fincher, because david lynch(Dune, Eraserhead, & Mulholland Dr.) didn't work on fight club.

but on the topic of David Fincher, i kinda liked panic room, and Seven, and alien3, mind you alien 3 is my least liked of the alien movies, not counting the "AVP" movies.
