There is one unintentionally chilling moment where Spiderman simply assumed that Beetle(who he was fighting) fell to his death after Spidey kicked him in the stomach. He didn't seem upset at all. Luckily, Beetle was alive, but it looked like Spidey was more than willing to accept that he had caused someone to die.It seemed out of character.
What about when Spidey punched 'Shade' in Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #42 . The dude was knocked into some astral hole and exploded. The Kids (Spidey was trying to save) then explicitly asked him if he (Shade) was dead or not.
Spidey just sort of brushed 'em off saying "Most of my enemies come back from the dead , he'll be back sooner or later"
