Spider-Woman Respect Thread

Jessica Drew, the original Spider-woman, one of the first and few females to have 50+ issues with her own title, and also have her own cartoon show....deserves some frickin respect.

Hopefully, with CW, Spider-woman can become as popular as she was during the 70's before they depowered her, and won't be so C-list as she is now.

Powers, with new upgrade

Super strength.
Hyper acute hearing.
Enhanced agility, reflexes, endurance, and speed.
Adhesive touch that allows her to cling to walls and other surfaces via electro-static attraction.
Immunity to all forms of non-corrosive toxins and poisons after an initial exposure to them. These initial exposures make her dizzy, but her metabolism quickly recovers and develops an immunity.
Imunity to all forms of radiation.
'Venom blast'. Beams of bio-electrical force (similar to a low level lightning bolt) that her body generates and stores. These blasts are directed from her hands. These blasts can range in intensity to deliver a minor shock, render someone unconscious, or even kill and have been shown to be powerful enough to puncture metal.
Pheromone generation. Her metabolism generates phermones that make her extremely attractive to men and tend to repulse women. If she concentrates she can direct this power, making men susceptible to her will.
Flight. Initially Jessica had only limited gliding ability, enhanced by the glider like wings that are part of her costume, but after her powers were restored by HYDRA she gained full flight abilities.

In addition to her powers, Jessica is also a superb hand to hand fighter, and has trained in several styles of fighting including boxing, judo, karate, and capoeira, learned under the training of the Taskmaster. She has also had training in fencing and the use of many other weapons. Jessica has been extensively trained in the field of espionage by HYDRA (covert operations, stealth, information gathering etc.), is a superb athlete and speaks several languages, including Russian, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and German.

Spider-woman's hightened sense, like Wolverine's, allow her to smell the robot Nick Fury.

She then blows it up with a good size venom blast while avoiding gun fire.

After being taken to HYDRA's island base by Conelly, she trashes him.

Spider-woman then decides to blow up THE WHOLE ISLAND.

Spider-woman's agility matches that of Spiderman's....scan taken from their battle.

She hurls a lamp post with ease, and then is quick enough to jump in front of it. A huge speed feat.

Jessica is immune to lasers (guns) due to the serum making her immune to radiation.

Jessica gets her powersr back after a 17 month operation....her returned super powers are "better than before" and now Spider-woman is able to "fly, not just glide"

Spider-woman is the FIRST FEMALE EVER to recieve an Essential book.

Jessica's bio-electricy blasts combined with Storm's lightning created enough force to make CLASS JUGGERNAUT "SCREAM WITH PAIN"

Also a feat of willpower, Spider-Woman claims she would rather die than to give up on Juggy.

Wolverine attempts to sneak up on Jessica, she then flips him over her shoudler...

...and stabs him in the throat with his own claws.

Wolverine is bitter about it, and Ironman mentions he is impressed.

Jessica uses her pheromones to subdue THE WRECKER.

She then clocks him.

SW explains her pheromones as all the men on her team go crazy for her, she includes how she now has control over them.

Spider-Woman takes out Vertigo in 1 venom blast.

Her venom blasts travel the speed of light.

Venom blasts don't have to be directed from the hands, they can be carried though inanimate objects.

Her pheromones aren't just an extreme attraction but can be used somewhat like hypnosis.

The third one down is cool. Kinda like gambit

The Origins of Spider-Woman:

Unlike Spider-man, Spider-woman's DNA was altered before birth. Her DNA is now encoded with that of the Wundagore Widow.

At the age of 7 Spider-Woman's venom blasts could kill.

At the age of 17, only 2 days after being out of her 10 year coma, her venom blast forces Taskmaster to his knees.

After only 3 months out her coma, at the age of 17, Jessica takes out 10 hyrda agents H2H.

Spider-Woman shows in the scan not only the ability to dodge laser fire from 5 Hydra agents, but that 1 venom blast can chain off to more than 1 person. Keep in mind, she is only 17.

Spider-Woman dodges the gunfire of dozens of Hydra agents and manages to take out 5 of them.

Spider-Woman fights Taskmaster H2H...in the end he gets a sword in the stomach.

Spider-Woman finishes off Taskmaster and at least 20 Hydra agents with one bigass venom blast

Once again showing that venom blasts can chain off.

Nicky Fury Respect:

Spider-Woman hid from S.H.I.E.L.D for 2 years...Fury mentions that no one in the history of S.H.I.E.L.D has been able to do that. "Between me and you, nothing impresses me more."

SW threatens to kill around 20 S.H.I.E.L.D agents (at 17)...Fury says she is not skilled enough yet

Hyrda's Worst Enemy:
