Nova(annihilation) vs Silver Surfer (annihilation)

Surfer hit's Nova, Surfer blasts Nova, Nova blocks blast with grav shield, they fly around a bit, Nova hits Surfer really hard, they lock up, fall to the planet and then have a chat. Not much else.

Ok I'm looking at Nova #14. Where did the ownage take place ? Either I'm missing some pages or this is pure FIS. Much like the mythical "UPGRADE" that the Surfer recieved in Annihilation #4.

Nova hits Surfer with full gravimetric power and Surfer is completely unharmed...

And by fall to the planet, it looked more like Surfer forcing Nova back to the planet, emphasised by the blue energy from when they impacted.

Nova got stomped b/c other than when he was running away, Surfer was pretty much owning him.

That being said, it wasn't much of a fight, a battle with both fighting intelligently and willingly (Nova really didn't want to fight Surfer) would probably be different

Yeah, it would end with Surfer stomping him even harder.

Didn't SS pretty much force Nova down to the planet so SS could talk with Richard away from Galactus.

And I'm pretty sure the difference in power level became very apparent in the next couple of panels when Surfer did what was gonna take Nova hours and tons of help to do in the blink of an eye.

I wouldn't say Surfer was UNHARMED after Nova hit him. In the panel he had a look a pain on his face from the impact. He recovered very quickly, but that was the hardest hit either managed to land.

It seems my definition of OWNAGE is a little different from your's. To me OWNAGE would be Thanos beating SS nearly to death or Rulk beating the hell out of Thor (PISSY as it was). Not Nova vs SS.

It amazes me to no end how a comic has words and pictures and people still make up stuff. Maybe I'm not using my imagination enough.

My gut tells me that the Power Cosmic trumps the Nova Force. But I'll reserve judgement until I see what Nova does in the near future. The last guy with the full NF beat up the Avengers WITH Thor.
