Satan - The Prince of Darkness

Just because Dirt and the Human Body share the same elements, does not mean the human body is made of dirt...i can easily argue that dirt is composed of human bodies....

Everything on Earth is composed of the same thing, because we and everything that exists on Earth is born of this world.

So that's no issue.

However, we are NOT dirt...we are not MADE of Dirt....

Human Beings and Dirt are made of the same thing....Earth

I would not agree; see slavery laws, segregation laws, antimiscegenation laws, etc.

Still, one would have to suffer the consequences for rebelling against any of those laws. While the laws are in effect, the consequences still apply.

Or star dust (according to Carl Sagan)

*["Jesus said to love everybody. OT said to kill witches."]

***There is no contradiction here at all.

The Old Testament says the following: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" [Exodus 22:18]. This verse has to do with the Law Statutes concerning idolatrous customs. The verse just cited deals with female practitioners of sorcery [i.e., telling the future or controlling others by demonic power].

God gave the Law to Moses...and it is the do's and don'ts of moral behavior. God gave the Law so that people would have a guide to live by and a STANDARD by which they might recognize God's PURITY and their SINFULNESS. There are 613 commandments in the Old Testament...and they oversee moral, judicial, and religious behavior.

The Law is a reflection of the CHARACTER of God because the Law comes forth from the very HEART and MOUTH of God. The Bible says "out of the ABUNDANCE of the HEART the MOUTH speaks" [Matthew 12:34]. When God gave the Law, He was speaking out of the ABUNDANCE of His HEART. He was speaking from what was IN Him. Therefore, the Law is GOOD, PURE, RIGHT, and HOLY. It is wrong to lie, because it is against God's NATURE to LIE. It is wrong to STEAL because it is against God's NATURE to STEAL.

This Law, then, by it's very nature of coming out of the HEART of God...and being spoken to men...is a STANDARD of HUMAN CONDUCT....a PERFECT STANDARD. Because it is perfect...and we are NOT...it is IMPOSSIBLE for sinful man to KEEP. It was for this REASON that the Law became a "stumbling block." It became an OBSTACLE to man...because it is an UNATTAINABLE PERFECT STANDARD.

The Law, then, brings about the OPPOSITE of what it REQUIRES...for it says to be PERFECT...but shows you where you are NOT. It says to be HOLY...but CONDEMNS you when you are NOT. Since it is NOT POSSIBLE for us to KEEP the Law and therefore EARN our POSITION with God...we then NEED the HOLINESS of God GIVEN to us...because there simply isn't any way for us to ATTAIN to the STANDARD of God. THEREFORE, "...the Law was put IN CHARGE to LEAD us TO Christ that we might be JUSTIFIED by FAITH" [Galatians 3:24]...that is, the Law SHOWS us that we CAN'T get to God by what we DO. We NEED the GRACE [i.e., UNMERITED FAVOR] of God IN Christ Jesus MANIFESTED in His SACRIFICE.

When the Lord Jesus Christ came...He did NOT come to DESTROY the Law...He came to FULFILL it's REQUIREMENTS for us that BELIEVE: "Think not that I come to DESTROY the Law, or the prophets: I am NOT come to DESTROY, but to FULFILL" [Matthew 5:17]. When He did THAT He FREED ALL BELIEVERS from the BONDAGE of the LAW...that is, we are NO LONGER subject to the Law...for He [Jesus] FULFILLED it's requirements FOR us...and GAVE us a NEW COMMANDMENT: "...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets" [Matthew 22:37-40].

Believers in Christ Jesus need NOT kill witches [i.e., idolaters or sorcerers] for we are NOT subject to the Law as were the ancient Jews who labored under the Law...but we are commanded to "love the Lord" with our whole being...and "love our neighbor" as ourself.

ahhhh, makes plenty sense now. No way on earth you could have made it through the degree with that thinking. Spoken like a true born again zealot.

AH HA................. you said that the bible is YOUR Authority, not everyone else's, SO HOW DARE YOU come here with that condesending attitude and say that everyone else is wrong??? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion........... and that does not make them wrong. If you dont like it, then stay mum on the idea.

ANd no, the idea of Jesus DOES NOT offend me. HOw can this man who sought to have people live in peace and died for our sins............ become what he has today .......... the reason for massacres, the reason why some people jump up and down screaming for him to bless them, the reason why so many people hate or choose to not respect other religions.......etc???? that is the part that bothers me, not his ideal, not his teachings....... they are pure, but have become tainted since.

ARGH............ who do people still think I'm a guy????????

Jesus did not come to bring peace amongst men. He clearly stated otherwise. He did come to bring salvation to mankind which should have peace as a fruit, but it was a not his purpose.

That is in deference to the entire point.

So in essence the whole business is... relative?

he did not bring it, but he brought the message of love and compassion........... wouldn't that lead to peace of some kind? I'm not talking about what he was sent here for, I'm more concerned about what he tried to teach while he was here.

Death accomplishes nothing, its what you do with your life that should make a difference.

AND.................

There are more similarities in religions than most care to identify
Here are some similarities between Jesus and Krishna

• Both are believed to be sons of God, since they were divinely conceived
• The birth of both Jesus of Nazareth and Krishna of Dwarka and their God-designed missions were foretold
• Both were born at unusual places — Christ in a lowly manger and Krishna in a prison cell
• Both were divinely saved from death pronouncements
• Evil forces pursued both Christ and Krishna in vain
• Christ is often depicted as a shepherd; Krishna was a cowherd
• Both appeared at a critical time when their respective countries were in a torpid state
• Both died of wounds caused by sharp weapons — Christ by nails and Krishna by an arrow
• The teachings of both are very similar — both emphasize love and peace
• Krishna was often shown as having a dark blue complexion — a color close to that of Christ Consciousness

religions are often so similiar, how can one say that one is more right than the other?????????????????????????????????????????????

Exactly.

Though they are different in that Krishna got to enjoy having thousands of wives/lovers where as Jesus apparently lived a life without such physical expression (unless one listens to Lord Urizen.)

and Krishna kicked a whole lot more ass (and was rather more god like)

welllll, thats where the difference in cultures may have played a key. An it has long been dicussed that Jesus did enjoy women( or at least one).

YEs it does say that he had 16108 wives, but there are many explanations for that.
1. Being god, he was able to be with each wife physically as an individual and not some grand orgy that it may seem to be.
2. THe Scriptures cannot be taken literally, so there is probably a meaning for that number, it represents something, just like how the number 786 is holy in Islam
3.Being able to assume multiple forms, he married all these women, many were widows.......... women who live wretched lives because of the death of their husbands.
4. Marriage is a stage of hindu life that all must go through. God incarnated is NO exception. Living the life of a single nomad is not seen as important to hindus as compared to other religions.

But why is Krishna worshipped with his teenage 'gf' Radha? Because they embodied love, love that was not destined to be, but it showed one of the greatest attributes a human( but NOT A god) can experience. THat is love of the heart, romantic love.

IF Christ were in hindu mythology, he and Madeleine would have been something like Krishna and Radha.

Krishna was a playa!

lmao

Now, would the conception of Krishna be from a spirit, or the physical act of intercourse?
• The birth of both Jesus of Nazareth and Krishna of Dwarka and their God-designed missions were foretold

Please list those of Krishna.
• Both were born at unusual places — Christ in a lowly manger and Krishna in a prison cell

That really doesn't count.
• Both were divinely saved from death pronouncements

Christ wasn't saved; he died and "went into the Earth" for three days.
• Evil forces pursued both Christ and Krishna in vain

That's nice and generic, Ms. Cleo.
• Christ is often depicted as a shepherd; Krishna was a cowherd

What, a common profession shared by two persons?
• Both appeared at a critical time when their respective countries were in a torpid state

Okay.
• Both died of wounds caused by sharp weapons — Christ by nails and Krishna by an arrow

WHOA
• The teachings of both are very similar — both emphasize love and peace

Again, two concepts that are relatively universal.
• Krishna was often shown as having a dark blue complexion — a color close to that of Christ Consciousness

So Krishna was a dark elf?

***True.

*["AH HA................. you said that the bible is YOUR Authority, not everyone else's..."]

***Yes, it is MY authority...and it is SOME OTHER people's authority...but it is not EVERYONE else's authority. In point of fact, it is NOT the authority for MOST of the world.

**************************************************

*["SO HOW DARE YOU come here with that condesending attitude and say that everyone else is wrong???"]

***I said nothing of the sort...the Bible says they ARE WRONG.

When the Lord Jesus Christ was on earth He made some very EXCLUSIVE claims about Himself: "...I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father but BY ME" [John 14:6]..."He that REJECTETH ME, and RECEIVETH NOT my words, hath one the JUDGETH him: the WORD that I HAVE SPOKEN, the SAME shall JUDGE him in the last day" [John 12:48]..."...Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the DOOR of the sheep. All that ever came BEFORE ME are THIEVES and ROBBERS: but the sheep did not hear them. I AM the DOOR; by ME if any man enter in, he shall be SAVED, and shall go in and out, and find pasture" [John 10:7-9]..."I said therefore unto you, that ye shall DIE IN YOUR SINS: for if YE BELIEVE NOT that I AM HE, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS" [John 8:24].

Most of the world REJECTS Jesus Christ:...the Muslim world REJECTS Him...the Jews REJECT Him...China REJECTS Him...India REJECTS Him...and most of the Western world only gives Him "lip service" and their hearts are FAR from Him. ALL who REJECT Him are WRONG...and WILL go into PERDITION.

**************************************************

*["Everyone is entitled to their own opinion........... and that does not make them wrong..."]

***Yes, everyone is entitled to their "own opinion"...but "opinion" is NOT necessarily TRUTH. There are untold numbers of "opinions" in the world...but all of them CANNOT and are NOT RIGHT...for there is only ONE TRUTH...and Jesus Christ is that TRUTH. Because Jesus Christ is that TRUTH...and the MAJORITY of humanity REJECTS Him...that makes THEM [i.e., the MAJORITY of humanity] WRONG!

***The REASON that people do what you are complaining about is...because they are SINNERS...born SINNERS [Psalm 51:5]...and DO what SINNERS do...they SIN [i.e., commit massacres...jump up and down screaming for him to bless them...etc.]. Unless a person comes to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his SINS and repents...he will continue IN his sin and will PERISH. What we are talking about here is the vast MAJORITY of humanity...who have REJECTED the salvation that Jesus Christ DIED & ROSE UP from the grave for. The world is racing headlong toward ARMAGEDDON for they will NOT REPENT and come to Him that they might be saved.
