Everything you mentioned is not actually that good or worth thanking Britain for. Okay, I'll agree with the Brit pop. Brit pop is more important to me than anything else you mentioned. Computers too, only because there wouldn't be any Brit pop if it weren't for microchips in synthesizers.

Without the US market would much of the advance have occurred as it has? Europe, and the rest of the world may owe the US for media and economics as they exist today, imo, although it is an uneducated stance, and probably wrong, as I have never studied the subject.
