Meh...I have my reasons.

As I said... Whatever floats your boat. I'm sure England looks alright from a foreign perspective... I've just grown bored of it.

What is the rate of English pounds to American dollars?

Roughly speaking... It's about 2 dollars to every pound.

When I was there this summer, it was about $1.85 to £1. I just always rounded it up to $2 as that made it easier to keep track of what I was spending.

Everything is more expensive here... cry

Yeah, no kidding. I think I spent over $60 on train fare alone.

$1.85 is far more accurate. My mind can't work in decimals... 😛

1.85? Fvck. There's go my trip to Europe. ❌

Nah, having things so expensive here means everything seems cheap when we go on holiday... So it's all good.

😂

I only kept the actual rate in mind when I was getting money (I found that using my debit card to withdraw from my bank account here at home ended up with the best rate and the fewest fees). When I was spending it I just rounded to $2. Easier to keep track of ✅

But it means that most things cost less... Like for something you'd spend $1 you'd probably get it for about £0.70.

I dislike milk chocolate, it's too sweet. I much prefer dark chocolate.
