It took me a while to appreciate the Departed. At first i despised the movie. I thought it was redundant crap that integrated inconsistent plot elements just to shock the audience (the ending for example). Upon several viewings i have to realize that it has some of the best acting and cinematography in any gangster movie. I think for that it deserves credit. It is definitely a better movie than that overrated piece of trash, Casino.
