How Fast is Superman

There's not many, but here are a few.

n Thor -#393- it’s established that Thor's speed transcends both time and space. Also, Thor could appear anywhere across the Universe or other dimensions in just seconds (FF#339, and Thor#166). In addition, Thor could, visually, detect objects that move at fantastic speeds and In Avengers-#281- Thor was able to keep track of the god of speed Hermes. However, it’s impossible to measure his speed based on those depictions. However, in Marvel Team-up#26, it gives a slight more accurate description on Thor’s Super-Human speed, and you could make a similar case in Invaders-#33, where Thor deflected artillery bullets fired at him by moving his entire left arm at super human speed. Specifically, in Marvel Team Up-#26, the writer makes it fundamentally clear that Thor can move faster than the mortal eyes can follow, and in Thor-#354, Thor was toying with Hela using speed that according to her was beyond comprehension. Thor stated that he was swift as the very lightning itself. The High Evolutionary using Thor’s DNA, created a real Super Speed character in Zefra.

thor saying that he is as swift as lightning is very likely to be hyperbole, also thor is known for being arrogant.

even if he can react that fast, supermans speed makes lightning appear slow

Pre crisis

Adam Warlock has also stated that Thor "was as quick as the lightning he commands", which BTW is faster and more powerful than normal earth lightning.

Faster Than Light

Golden age, slightly faster than a speeding bullet.
Silver age, way past lightspeed.
Bronze age, about 8 times lightspeed.
Shortly after COIE, just under lightspeed.
Maximum Post - Crisis, about 5 times lightspeed.
After IC, not very fast at all.

that was warrior madness thor and also warlock's statement was most likely a simile.

also, thor has never gone 3x speed of light without teleporting.
this is the scan posted that people think he did.

first, the feat was clearly performed in space and also the panel doesnt say triple, it actually says treble.
this means that when his speed of 2x light puts the speed of light to shame

Thor's Marvel bio rating also says that he can go into warp....

It also says that his skin is 3x denser than a humans...meaning Batman with a chainsaw can take him down.

No, I think we can take it about as literal as we can take Superman saying "lightning is slow".

I can't read the scan, but there is another that has Thor going at 3x the speed of light. It never says it's his limit, but it's the highest he's ever been recorded going on panel. However Marvel stats has him listed as being able to go into warp speed.

Juggernauts skin is just as thick as any humans, yet his skin can never be harmed......by well anything. How thick your skin is has nothing to do with how durable your are.

In some cases, but talk to Rhino about that one.

So a mans skin is as durable as an Elephant's hide?
Juggs power is also to be physically invulnerable.
Thor isn't quite so lucky.

warlocks statement is likely to be hyperbolic since thor hasnt shown that type of combat speed. also the way warlock said the statement was in perfect simile form. superman saying that his speed makes lightning appear slower is a reliable statement because he actually backed up his statement when he avoided the lightning.

also, i would like to see the other scan where thor travels 3x speed of light

So it was been stated on two separate occasions, by two credible foes yet you still believe it to be hyperbolic?

Can you please post Superman's greatest feat of combat speed?

No but he does have a high degree of invulnerability, which has nothing to do with how thick or thin his skin is.

maybe someone can find the scan where he goes apeshit on an imperiex probe..and leaves after images, he was so fast
