"We should move on, just the last reply😛"

Well "shone with a sudden blaze" could mean anything really, I guess the movies interprention was that it became hot, but either way, it caused Aragorn to drop his sword, which is something he really wouldn't do.
I belive that the english one is different when talking about if Legolas arrow burns up or not. Remember arguing it with Nai and we said that it just said he shot a "stjärnskott😛),w hile the english one said something about it burning up or something. Or maybe he lied.... :/

Although it is not proven, it is still not disproven that he cannot do it. (Shield) Maybe it was one of his techniques? Or does the film hold no candle what so ever in this case? I don't know.......

Well yeah, basic fact that he is a Valar would make me belive that no one on Middle-Earth could beat him! (Manwe)

Gandalf can't conjure a shield in the book, so yeah, PJ made it up.

post a new fight please.

Well what if! Yeah motha ****a! 😛 (He know's I'm kidding)

Anyway, that's not the most powerful part anyway! And nah, I don't wanna post!

So fastest one to have an idea gets it 😛

bilbo vs. sam 😛

The Witch King of Angmar vs. Gandalf the White

Who wins?

Last one has been very hostly contested id go with Gandalf myself

yeah, me to. wanna post a fight mr. thefallen544?

Tulkas Vs Melkor

In a physical fight, I've seen this draw mixed reactions before and found it quite interesting.

I thougt Tulkas beat the hell outa him twice. Am I wrong?

one uruk-hai vs. tree goblins

uruk

Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli vs Hurin and Turin

I'd go with the three of 'em. Basically because they are three and one of them can shoot arrows..

I see what you mean, it's just that some of the examples you have given are the movie way not the canon book way. the sheild is something P.J made up. I don't know anything about the games but if he can do it there or not doesn't make a difference. he blocks the balrogs strike with glamdring, which is just as impressive, according to me. He doesn't heat up aragorns sword. he just drops it.
"it shone with a sudden blaze" the book says.
and legolas arrow doesn't burn up. but legolas makes a shout and shoots right up in the air. however, even if doesn't use fire to do anything of this, he still disarms three people, and I'm sure he could do that on the dwarwes as well. he did a similar thing do denethor in the return of the king. so he can disarm people, that's for sure.
The thing about tolkien and the books are that we can't really say what the people can do. It's not as in the games where you know exactly what powers they have. We can't really say what for example Manwê can do. Still I believe he would wtfpwn Gandalf. basing that on him being as powerful as morgoth.

1) That's the thing with this forum though, it's a MOVIE forum, not a book forum. So really our arguements really should only source from the movie. I struggle with this too as like almost everyone else here, I love the books.

2) That shield in the movie was just Jacksons visual interpretation of the text: Glamdring countering Burins bane's blade. Could you guys imagine seeing that massive sword being defied by Glamdring (proportionally that would be visually awkward and no one would accept it!). Cumon!

3) "it shone like a sudden blaze" This is tricky, as this line is a similie so Tolkien may have used it just to illustrate how it looked. But blaze is another word for fire, flame, flare, brilliant light, radiance, etc. So therefore if Aragon's sword was ablaze, surely he would not hold on to it!

4) I have no doubt that Gandalf could take on 13 miesly dwarves if allowed to use his full/true power. Might need some water in between kills tho 😛
