But does it matter? Since lightning does not travel at the speed of light....

It seems to me that he's flying or being flung so fast that his body is going faster than the lightning, and because of that, he's moving faster than the lightning that is moving parallel to him, giving him reason to say the lightning is moving slower to him. We aren't shown how much time he needed to reach that speed or any of the other actions that may have taken place. Thor can indeed do that as well when he flys 1000x lightspeed, which he can. Lots of people who can only fly FTL can do that which Superman just did.
Lobo, for one, on his bike has done something similar.

But Thor can set up an impenetrable defense by whirling his hammer. And his stamina is greater, so the longer the fight goes, the more it favours Thor.
IMHO, Superman would win 8/10 simply because of the speed gap.

It was his REFLEXES that allowed him to see the lightning in slow motion. That allowed him to time the strike just perfectly.

Superman had to time the strike JUST PERFECTLY in order to save the boy. It wasn't just flying up into the sky and letting it strike. He had to use his reflexes to make the lightning strike at the perfect exact moment. His reflexes let him see lightning in slow motion... FACT.
2. Superman is MUCH faster than Thor has EVER been. PERIOD. Your persistence in driving this issue is not only fanboyish, but it's downright idiotic.
3. Stop hyping up Thor's speed. You clearly show a lack of logical reasoning when you interpret scans that depict Thor's speed. Not only that, you have pretty much nothing to go on with your notion of him being this extraordinary beast in the speed/reflex department.
You seriously need to get over the fact that Superman is >>>>>>>>>>> to Thor in terms of speed.
Rant over... for now.
None of this has nothing to do with Thor. Your clearly striking at me due to everyone objecting to the vague scan you used as proof. Attacking me isn't going to help your case with the scan.
Any Character with enhanced flying speed could have accomplished the same feat. Superman does nothing out of the ordinary in the scan, your whole argument is based on the fact that Superman claimed lightning is slow to him, which is as vague as Thor saying he's as fast at the lightning he commands.
I've always known that Superman is faster than Thor I'm not arguing that, but the 500x the speed of light you once claimed? ya it sounds fishy.
That's why I created the thread to hype, and discuss Thor's speed. If you don't like it don't post, I never asked you to post in here so don't jump bad with me.
yes and Thor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Superman in power, but thats besides the point seeing as how this is a thread discussing Thor's speed.

Do you have a scan or reference proving that Thor can fly at 1000x the speed of light?

I'm not striking at you because of the scan at all. I'm striking at you because it's rather apparent you have a boner for Thor.

Rubbish, now you're just stretching it beyond what is rational. ❌

Do you always talk out of your ass? I'm being serious now, because you're speaking about something in which you have NO IDEA about.
Superman had to have the lightning strike AT THE PERFECT EXACT moment. Meaning, he had to time the strike of the lightning using his reflexes. It has context, it has meaning, it has actual WORTH.
All Thor did was rush by that woman really fast and claim he's as fast as lightning. That has absolutely no merit.
And no, this isn't even close to being my "whole argument." There are dozens of scans proving his reflexes are MANY MANY times faster than Thor's. You just really seem to have a problem with the fact that Thor has slower reflexes. Well... get over it.
This is almost as funny as your claim that Thor is lightspeed because he went invisible to the naked eye. hysterical2

Sorry, but Thor's not that fast when you're talking about top tiers. He just isn't.

Exactly, so why would you even bring it up?
Btw, all that power amounts to SHIT when Thor's getting blitzed to oblivion. 🙂

He'll slow down a lot as Thor drains the solar radiation from his body.
And he'll be quite still after a Godblast. 🙂

He really doesn't have the speed or reflexes for it.
Sure, that's viable if Superman actually stood there and tried to go toe to toe with Thor, but otherwise? ❌

And when does Superman ever try to defeat someone with pure speed? He's a nice guy who wants to talk someone into giving up, so quite often it means face to face. Thor likes to talk as well (being a good natured braggart) to get someone to surrender. That's why no blasting right off the bat.
Otherwise if he's peeved, it's the 2nd last page of Avengers/JLA right off the top.

Do you really think the "pissed off" argument doesn't apply to Superman as well? Both characters are fighting to the best of their abilities. Superman wouldn't give Thor a chance to do ANYTHING.
Oh, and you forgot the part where Superman gets up a second later and KO's Thor. 🙂

You knew what I meant, don't act ignorant. I was referring to my earlier post that attacked for some odd reason.
Yet at the same time you have the infamous RKT vs Batman thread do you not?
Yes, any character with escape velocity speed could have accomplished the same feat Superman had.
Why is that every time someone questions you about Superman's speed, you always have to include he's faster that Thor? being faster than Thor does not equate to ftl reflexes which was what you were arguing.
"At Super speed the lightning appears to be moving in slow motion to me, so if I time it just right" Then he flew a bit higher and the pole on his back gets struck. Lightning rods don't have to move at all to be struck by lightning, so I don't see how Superman has to have ftl reaction times in order for lightning to strike the rod on his back? That is about as vague as Thor attacking Adam warlock, and Adam claiming Thor is as quick as the very lightning he commands.
Yet not nearly as funny as your "Batman has 1045 IQ he can find a way" argument. The difference is I listened and learned while you just kept, well, kept saying Batman could find a way.
Because this thread isn't who's faster Superman or Thor, it's how fast is Thor.
Actually you did. A while ago we were in a debate that had something to do with Gladiator and Superman. I claimed Gladiator is faster than Superman dues to the fact that he can travel at 500x the speed of light. You in turns claimed Superman could go at 536x the speed of light. So being who I am, I asked where you got this info from and if you could provide a scan. You responded claiming Superman did so when he flew Darkseid to the sun in a few moments.
which is why i created this thread in the first place.
why do you keep bringing up the fact that Superman is faster than Thor?
which is again why i created this thread.

Ah, that's right. With the help of the Martian Manhunter, he does.
Then Thor complemented them on being mighty warriors, and sent J'onn crashing into the nearest building. 😄

Not unless they have the ability to see lightning in slow motion and are able to dodge lightning... which is what it takes.

Um... no. I never compare Superman's speed to Thor's in other threads unless it's a discussion with you. 🙄
And I didn’t say because his reflexes are faster than Thor’s, that he has ftl reflexes. You’re mistaken.

DAMMIT PEOPLE!!! Please READ what I’m saying, because I’m not going to type it again. He didn’t just rush up into the clouds and let the lightning strike the rod. He had to time the strike just perfectly in order to save the boy. Meaning, he had to use his reflexes in order to allow the lightning to strike at the perfect time.
It’s called “context” Souja, you should check into that.

PUH-LEASE!!!! You and I both know that you made this thread in order to compare Superman to Thor. It’s the same exact reason why you created the “How Fast is Superman?” thread.
*sigh*
Just a bitter little boy, Souja. 🙄

Wow. 😂 I’ve never said Superman was 536x the speed of light. That feat with Darkseid is at best 240x the speed of light. And Gladiator isn’t even 500x the speed of light. At his ABSOLUTE BEST Glads is 100x light speed.
