The meaning goes with the majority on this one. The word emo in this sense is derogatory and therefor it's true meaning only really lies with how it's used.

what is an emo anyway? ive been seeing this tossed around the forums for a few months now...are those the kids both boys and girls who wear flannel shirts tied around their waists, unnecessrily tight pants,giant combat boots, a million tattoos, and army of piercings, a few dog collars, and t-shirts with anti-establishment messages on them?..cuz those f ****ers got to go😄
