No, my rant is that why should I be have to be bashed by idiots across the world because of something my GOVERNMENT does that I don't even agree with in the first place?

I don't believe Iraq should have been invaded, nor Vietnam. hell, I'm a pacifist, I don't approve of any wars, or occuping other peoples lands, or any of that cheap shit that my government does.

And you know as well as i do that the "democraticly elected government" buisness is all bullsh*t. So don't try to pass it off as "We voted for him, so it's our fault to."

Actually it is, you voted for him. Or at least the majority of the people in the US did. Seeing as he's president we can safely assume that he was at least elected by the majority of the people. 51% of the people agreed with him becoming president. So yes we can blame 51% of all Americans for Bush.

Seeing as it's kinda hard to know if somebody voted Bush or not we just have to play it safe and bash all Americans... You know before we miss a chance to not bash one, that would suck.

It woudl suck a lot even.

I actually read somewhere that Bush lost the majority of the votes by the actual citizens, but won somewhere else, or he cheated or something.

But that could just be conspiracy BS. I'll have to research it...

And even if people did vote for him, thats no reason to bash anybody. Should I bash every person from the UK I knwo and see because of the terrible thigns their government has done in the past?

Every country has done something shameful, so why point fingers at anyone?

Sure...why not? I do all the time. It's easier with the US as they are doing all the horrible things right now.

So are you dmiting that what your doing is wrong, but it's fun to do anyway?

its well known that there is a high degree of disporpotionality in the US elections.

The people are not accountable for every action of the government.

No. I generally don't admit that anything is wrong. Then i am also not actually doing it...or not in any instance I recall.

Of course not and I'm overreacting. I don't bash all Americans just those people that think that the US is superior to everything else and that Bush is a good president.

Still fact remains as long as the government is a democratic government and Bush remains in power the US citizens have failed to do anything about it, and are therefor responsible for the government. Everybody that didn't vote is responsible, everybody that voted for Bush is responsible, everybody that voted for small party's is responsible, everybody that helped Bush cheat is responsible, and the majority of the people that for some reason just seemed to accept it.

Which if it's true is absolutely ridiculous. I can't even imagine that happening here.

Man, I live in the U.S. and I hate most of the citizens here.

Nah, that's just good old misanthropy. It has nothing to do with the superior ignorance portrayed by some US citizens.

No, 51% of the people did NOT vote for him. At least 12% of the nation didn't vote at all and around 49% voted against Bush(Kerry had 48% I believe and Independents had 1%. I could be wrong, but its close to those numbers). That's at LEAST 58% of the American population that did NOT vote for Bush to become president.

I hate math, but numbers do come in handy.

Right on. Except we actually elected a superior idiot.

The common man is too dangerous to have choices.

Sorry, I don't think voter apathy is a good reason not to insult people.

Apathy? "I don't want to decide between a giant douche and a turd sandwhich." Ring any bells?

Anyway, I've always said my city needs to secede from the rest of the country and elect our own president.

Yeah, it was a good episode. But I do not subscribe to the "if we don't vote we will show them what we think and they will have to act upon it" idea. Cause it's BULLSHIT. It'*s not a sign, it won't force anybody, it's just wasting your vote. Voting on a thir party is better, although with your fascist election system that is bullshit as well. Next time when it is between something shitty and something really shitty...please, please take the shitty..cause we have seen that half your country will take the bigger evil...

It doesn't matter more people voted for Bush than any other cadidate. Hence he wins. End of story.

My city tried to secede...its didn't work. We did get home rule though.

You're flogging the converted. Point is, the majority of the population didn't vote for Bush.

The point is, it doesn't matter if the majority did. the US is PLURALISTIC. You don't need 50% to win.
