If those people that didn't vote would have voted, or those people that voted for independent party's which have no chance in the US would have voted otherwise then things might have been different. So I blame the majority of the US for the president. Because quite simply the majority of the US could have changed it if they would have wanted too. Obviously they didn't.

Actually, it wouldn't. If 12% didn't vote, then at most about 44-45% voted for Bush.
And usually, only half the nation actually votes.
I hate voter apathy. Almost as much as I can't stand when people act like if someone is elected that everyone voted for them.
And this isn't even getting into the BS that's known as the electoral college.

Heh, I was furious when Kerry conceded. I SO wanted Bush gone.
He is saying that the 12% that didn't vote and the people that voted for 3rd parties are responsible for Bush's victory as well. Of course children and other people that are unable to vote are not considered. But of the voting population more than 50% did in one way or another ensure his victory.

No shit it does. The electoral college is completely pointless and is a good part of why a lot of people don't care about voting. It seriously needs to be gotten rid of.
And I really don't buy that - as we have no idea how those who don't vote would vote, I don't think claims like that really hold water.

They couldn't have done more harm..but they did no good (from an anti-bush point of view)
As for the voting process. I think two party systems are undemocratic.
Actually I don't blame the voters in the USA I blame all the other countries that whine and complain about USA policy both foreign and domestic calling us bad, evil etc etc
I say why don't you just come in and invade us and take over our govt as some people here think the average folk in the USA is fairly helpless and ignorant.

It really is unfair that the people of a country should have to suffer because of something their government is doing. I'm not fighting in Iraq, hell I don't even support the war. I have relatives in every major part of the world, and because of that I don't hate any race or country, so why should I and my friends have to endure idiots who feel the need to tell me about how crappy and dirty and ignorant I am, and how spoiled and cruel I am, how I'm such a dirty American whose days are numbered. It really is pissing me off, and if any of you who read this fit the category who do the things I mentioned, I recommend that you lay off.
